No clue, I cashed in several times through the day. If I were to estimate, I'd say about $700.

I cashed in at the same branch each time, it was pretty much the halfway point in my run... did one side, and worked the other on my way back. They got to telling me stories about how they've pulled all kinds of stuff out of their trays from Morgans to three cent pieces.

By the way, I think one of the WLH's is a 1916... The date is worn, but I can see a bar and a 6.

I guess I'm hooked. I've been watching this forum and finally decided to give half searching a try. I got $300 dollars of rolls of half dollars from a local bank. The first roll had 21 coins in it so I thought at least I'm ahead.

I went through the rolls and was so successful that I went back for $200 more the next day. I found a total of 155 halves dated 1965-1969 and 17 dated 1964 and one 2011S. Now what do I do with them?

wait for silver to go back up and sell them? Silver is down a 1.67 today. Or keep them for some other time. Nice find though! What kind of bank did you get them from?

Well, I am not sure what BAC means, but I guess they do. At least at Wells Fargo. At the local county bank (by that I mean not a national chain.) I know that one of the tellers has a silver dime, has had it for a while but she won't sell it to me. She just keeps it taped to her drawer. Maybe it varies from bank to bank or company to company?

No, it means Bank of America. It's their stock ticker symbol.

    I bought at $5 and sold at $13. :)

I got a really nice shot of the obverse of the 90-D I found yesterday... the reverse wasn't anywhere near as nice, in terms of a photo, that is... Feast your eyes on the finest zincoln I've ever seen in a roll.

Wow! Talk about beginner's luck. Congrats. You hit a jackpot!!!! Great finds.

By the way, I'm putting together a proof set pulled from circulation (I know, it is strange, but I have all but 4 dates now 94, 99, 10, 11).....SO, I'd love to trade for your 11S if you don't want it.

What to do with the silver? Either keep or sell. Silver is quite high now.

    And, WELCOME to the forum.

Guys, I took my bag of cents and dimes back yesterday. Swapped for cents nickels, some quarters and a single roll of halves with a few rolls of dimes.

No joy at all on the silver, but upgraded one quarter in my circulated set. Bt the cents look good. In the first 3 rolls, there were 6 Wheats with a nice 34 and about 30% copper. One 53 was a RB that looked AU. Anxious to get to the rest of them.

I also bought a Mercury dime lot for 22x and am waiting for it to get here. At the last coin show, dealers were buying at 26x, so if there isn't anything I need, these can get dumped easily enough. I hope. lol

I've been reading this thread for awhile, and just recently began searching cents with my 6 and 8 year old. They like filling up their albums and take great joy when they find the 2009, 2010 cents since they look differant, along with old wheat cents.
Anyway, yesterday I walked over to the bank near my work during my lunch break and just grabbed $5 worth of pennies to go through. in 10 rolls we found:

    11 - Wheat Cents, all 30's, 40's, 50's

And then I hear my 6 year old say "Dad, whats this?"

Low and behold, he pulls out a 1895 Indian Head Cent!

How often are you guys finding IHC in rolls? Seemed odd to me!
