Found a few decent wheat cents found 1915-D and 2 1918-S one in XF and a 1943-S steelie Also picked up 2 40% halves from my bank

Also found a 1981 medio peso from domican republic, you guys have any idea if its silver? It looks it but i dont think it sounds like it.

Anyone searching the halves ever found the doubled die '74D? I haven't, just make sure to check everyone I pass.

 

I am about 95% sure I found one about a week ago. I need to get it under a scope though, which I don't have. The top part of the seven is there but the lower looks like it was but then flattened.

Anyway, anyone know what these sell for in a circulated condition?

I too had almost given up and still may if they're only worth a few bucks. (<5). Anyone know what a true no "fg" is going for???

I have found about 12 or so 1974 D DDO coins. I have also found 8 or so 82 No FG and a couple of 83 no FG coins. I have NOT found the 72 D no FG yet though....

 

For the past 6 month's I have tried to find half dollar roll's. I live south of boston. I can only go too banks I have an account with. Any other bank's will not do business with me unless I have an account with them. iI have gone to at least 12 banks that I have an account with not one roll. So I changed gears this week monday i went into my bank near work and asked if I could order $1000 of half dollars. She looked at me like i had two heads. She said i don't know if we can do that. They took my phone number and said they would call me. I thought to my self "ya you'll call me, when hell freeze's over". So Tuesday I decide to stop in again at lunch. The same woman said that they only place there coin and bill order once a week on Friday's. So I will keep you guy's posted wish me luck.

On another subject "Coin Roll's"! No bank in my area will take loose change. They have taken coin counting machine out of all bank's. It has to be rolled. My bank does not get its roll's from the Reserve. It get's them from Wells Forgo. I get box's of pennies all the time. The roll's are sealed on each end. I have not once got a box of all new coin's. I am finding approx. 30 wheat's per box and they are usually from the 40's 50's and of course the one dime every 4 boxes or so.. I have tried CWR (customer wrapped roll's) with no luck. Most of the time they only have a couple roll's of CWR. So I stick to box's. Good luck to everyone on there searching.

 

Guys!! I need some major well-wishing! Send me all your positive thoughts, oonagi, whatever you want to call it! I just stopped in to a local bank, I had $2 on me. I asked for half dollars and the teller said "I don't have any, how about you?" as she looked over to the other lady. She says "I have $16 rolls."

So, just as my luck has it I have no money until the 15th and I just hope and pray that they stay around for the next 4 business days.
Wish me luck that they do, and that they hold some silver! I only own 1 silver half ('64) but it was a gift. I have never actually got one from a roll/circ yet.

And I did almost half the box at work...and when time came to count the cash registers I saw the one drawer only had 2 dimes, took a look and one was a '63 silver roosie

 

Cool didn't even know about those other ones. Keep my eye out for them now.

 

$220 of dumped halves. Nothing, of course.

 

I've done 10 boxes of halves this month with 1 40%! Can someone please tell me this is simply bad luck, statistically it had to happen, or something like that because I'm losing faith here. Get two more boxes tonight and I'm not feeling lucky at all.

That's about the same average I've been getting for the last several months in boxes. About to give up on boxes of halves, maybe do some dimes, or just small road trips.

 

Little over half way through with yesterday's half bag. I requested CRWs since the last box was mostly 2010 D. Anyway, it's monster for copper. 2 clad dimes and about 400 pre 82 so far. Also pulled some really nice MS coins to compare to those in my binders. Hopefully, I can finish it today and look over those I toss aside with my microscope. Maybe something "good" will show up ?
