That doesn't include my plain 1909 I found, or two of the other VDB's... if you factored in those, I think it would drop to one in 12-14 boxes. I've only found one 1909 this year according to what I've posted in this thread.

8 boxes of sealed Brinks halves. Could hear the teller make an evil laugh in the vault before she gave these to me but didn't know why until back at home. Every box had been searched and rerolled back in the brinks wrappers and box taped back shut. Still found a clad Bicent S mm and a ton of really nice 82,83 spot checking rolls. I'll be contacting brinks to see if what they did was against the rules.

    BU's; '63, '72, '74, '82-D. The '82 is easily an MS65, hence why I saved it.

    Yawn. About average for copper.

I asked for $25 in pennys at a Wachovia today and they didn't have a box so they gave me CWRs. 2 bundles of $5 were nothing special, but the other three were really interesting. 1 bundle of 5 had a total of 14 dimes, another had 18 dimes, including 6 in 1 roll. The last bundle was in different wrappers and all the pennies were between 1990 and 2002, all in BU condition, and about 1/3 were mis-struck? So the total for the box was 32 dimes, 9 wheaties all after '46, 4 canadians, 1 2cent euro, 1 25 cent netherlands. Also found a 1998 and 2000 WAM.

Are you saying you found 14 silver dimes in a bag of cents?

No, 14 regular dimes. I'd have used the word silver if it was the other way around. ;)

Picked up a box today. Went through it and thought it was a skunk. As I was double checking I found a 1993S half. It felt a little heavy. The obverse is discolored but the reverse looks great. Anyway, I weighed it. .440 ounces. It appears it is a 90% 1993S silver. Can someone confirm based on weight?

I weighed several clad and they seem to be around .395 ounces, the 40%'ers seem to be around .408 ounces and the other 90%er I weighed at .440 also.

Went through a box of halves today and only found 1 40%er.

What halves are NIFC that I should be looking for?

Also, found this one today. I know it is really beat up, but what would make the top layer come off like that?

Recent circulation finds are 2 2000 WAM's, 1946 Rosie, 1947 Rosie, and bunches more wheat pennies. Also some pre-60's nickels to fill holes in my Whitman.

  15. What do you mean by that?

just that they were off-center. The left side of the front would have a double thick edge rim, and the right side of the front would have no rim. I just haven't seen that many off center of the newer coins so it was weird.

Also david, are you kidding me, those finds are absurd. congrats.

    Partial Box: $350 in S&Sons rolls: 1 40%er & 1 90%er (64)

    7 CWR: Skunk

    $21 in loose: 1 90%er (64)

    1 Box: 1 40%er & 2 90%er (64 and a 1950 Frankie :D)

I've found more Franklins in the last 4 months than the previous year plus.....strange. I've found 41 now....I've never found a big haul of them, just a steady 1 here, 3 there, etc.

A dump box of halves, not sure why I took it. Pulled 7 nifc's. Should be able to pick up a box Friday from a new bank... will see how that goes.

was it sealed and rerolled in the brinks wrappers? I only ask because just picked up 8 boxes and ALL were rerolled and sealed back in boxes and had alot of NIFC. Just got off the phone with brinks and they said brinks is only responsible for outer packaging, not whats inside the rolls. Wonder how brinks ensures that the correct amount of coin is in there?
