More than slightly. I keep all my half finds on a spreadsheet. For boxes, I find 3.14 silvers per box of $500. For loose/CWR/BWR not in a box, my average is 19.76 silvers per $500. Imagine if I eliminated all of the BWR not in a box, the average would go up even more. This is a significant difference. CWR, if you can find them, on average will bring you MUCH better results.

    Did a box this morning....skunk

Stopped at a bank that I have had two really productive finds (including my best to date) from CWR, and I know that Erin has also had monster finds with CWR at this same bank. Today, I only had $120 with me since I had bought a box, and they had about $200. I bought the 12 CWR and with much anticipation opened them. SKUNK

So, I picked up a 2nd box just before closing time on my way home from work. Best box in a LONG time, and best box for Frankies, ever. I even got my first "Bender" with a 1949 Ben looking at me from the end of a roll. My total count from this box:

    12 40%ers
    5 90%ers.....2 1964 Kennedys and 3 Franklins!!! 1949, 1954, 1963.

    :D :) :D

First box of halves in about 6 weeks. The best box that I have had. I got 2 64's and 9 40%'s. Also had a clad 85s and a 2003d. The bank had a couple more boxes. I guess I'll have to pick up another box and see if I can get another good one.

Nada again ! Going to try and swap the last 26 rolls I brought with me today. Banks here will swap cents, but they are reluctant to sell them. Too many small tourist oriented businesses I think. However, they have quarters for the laundromat. I may try a few rolls of those ?

I find that laundromat and car wash coins to be really beat up and never found a single silver quarter in several hundred dollars worth. Keep digging it only takes one coin to make the day.

I've been swamped with work and school lately, and haven't searched much. But we're iced over today - school cancelled! I could get to the bank though. I picked up $20 in pennies and $90 in halves, all CWR.
    Halves - SKUNK
    Pennies - 14.25% Copper Memorials; 3 Cdn; 4 Wheaties:
57d, 44s, 43s (steel), and 1912 - low numbers, but interesting finds. I've found an Indian Head before, but never a steelie. It's a pretty beat up steelie, but still a steelie.

My credit union will order whatever I want, so long as I don't stick them with a couple $K worth of 50 cent pieces or something. Many small banks will treat you nice, if you do most of your business there.

Oh, I know. I have accounts at 1 local credit union with 5 branches, and another at a small local bank with three branches. They both treat me really well, and I'm happy customers of both. TD just happens to not only be closer, but also more convenient... and it's on a nice loop that lets me cash in at two different other TD banks in another market, then go south, hit up about 5-8 banks for halves, then stop to pick up my order, with about a 10 minute drive home. The entire loop takes about 2 hours... with dumps. That's why I order there, haha.

Wow, I'm having a great week!
    7 40%ers on Monday
    12 40% and 5 90% yesterday including 3 Frankies

    Today:
    Box of halves: Skunk
    2nd bank: $4 loose: 1 40%er
    3rd bank: $10 loose: 1 40%er
    4th bank: $72 in an envelope, all loose: 2 90%ers (64s) and 58 40%ers

I wish every week was like this, LOL. by FAR my best little run in quite a while.

Very jealous, bobbeth. I can't find jack these days... really discouraged in terms of halves.

Don't mention dimes or anything either, another skunk today. The well is dry.

    Went through 2 boxes today.
    1st Box : 2 90% both franklins, 1 40%
    2nd Box : 2 90% 1 franklin 1 JFK, 2 40%
    Also in the second box i found 2 2009-Ds, 1 2009-P, and 1 2008-D

What do you guys do with the post 2002 halves when you find them? Also do you ever find 87s? They're the last ones I need to fill my book from 71-07.

1987 halves are NIFC... tough to find. I've only found one, and I found it on like, my third box.

    Box of cents done;

    1910
    1936
    1944 x2
    1945 x2
    1946
    1951
    1952
    1952-D x3
    1953
    1955
    1956 x2
    1957-D

    12 Canadians.

I have found about 9 or 10 1987 halves overall.

I keep the best of the NIFC halves, but cash in ones that are hammered.

Man Bob, cleaning up this week! I've got ten boxes of halves coming in on Friday, hope to turn my luck around this week. This is the first week that I haven't found any silver since I started hunting.

As for the NIFC halves, I usually put a set of together of all the NIFC's and run them on evilbay. I can usually get 2-3x face for an entire set minus the 87's. I have yet to find an 87.

After that incredible day on Monday(over $3000.00 in spot value), I went hog wild and started buying bags and boxes like crazy. Yesterday, was another outstanding day. I went through $3100.00 worth of bags and got the following:

    31-90%(10-Bennys, 3-Standing Liberty)
    114-40% JFK

Today, I went through (2)$500 ct boxes and $1350 worth of bags. It was slim pickens

    1-90% JFK
    7-40% JFK

I also found something really weird and was wondering if any of you know about a gold plated JFK from the 70's? I got the following years in the same box:72, 2-74, 76, 78, 85-D.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We've had people put up crazy claims before and it turns out to be false. We love to share in people's finds, but when someone has monnster find claims then never posts pics, skeptism sets in especially when he/she is a new poster. Why don't you post a few so we can all see....it doesn't take long.?

The gold plated ones are after mint publicity/souvenier type things.....I run into them quite often. No premium to them.
