It's been almost a week since I got those $25 in CWRs and I've searched through 37 of those rolls and in two of those rolls, I found a dime sandwiched between two pennies in the middle of the roll. This is more exiting than finding 10 wheat pennies in a $25 box.

    $100 in nickels;

    No silvers.
    About 1/2 roll pre '60.
    1 Swiss 20 rappen; 1982.

Nickel boxes aren't looking too good around here... time to chill them for a bit.

I'd say you beat some unbelieveably long odds if you found all these in 100 rolls. Can you post some pics of the '84 doubled ear,the '92 CAM and the '83 DDO?

Didn't go to any banks today except to pick up a box... Skunko (normal). I may pick up a box tomorrow but not sure. If I do I will post.

Bob, did you hit your milestone today? I think you only needed 2 and you search every day on your way home right?

Especially the 1992 CAM, please, Thunder. That's a big money coin.

    Box of dimes, 1 1961-D.

My favorite bank had 20 loose halves; all clad, worn, and uninteresting. :(

My favorite grocery store had one half at customer service, 1965. :)

    Wow, some... uh... guy on ebay offered me $200 for my 1999 WAM. I countered at $400, told him I don't negotiate much and that's my bottom-line price on it. He proceeds to respond as follows;

Hi, what you need to do is take a look at what these coins are selling for slabbed, your coin is not worth four hundred dollars and you need to sell it to me for 150 dollars - that is its value- chuck

    - sluggo4787

Oh wow, I didn't see this part either...

Its value is 150 dollars for this raw unslabbed coin, i am will to take a chance at 201 dollars which is fair , you have had no hits, and if you check and look at other auctions of this tylpe you will see i am high limit for this circulated coin

First- roll searching Halfs today- did 7 boxes found 26 total.

    13 @ 90% and 13 @ 40%

    The 90% er's were 5 Walkers, 1 Franklin and 7 JFK'S.

Picked up $10.00 in String & Son rolls of pennies from a Chase Bank and found this:

:smile 1999 P LMC Wide AM- Lawson Reverse Die # 3. Die crack down steps of Memorial Bldg.

This is my 3rd 1999 Wide AM that I've found, but my first from die # 3

The first 2 were from die # 2.

    Found a BOX of 40%ers

Did one box today which had 5 40%ers. So, in total, I now have found 1004 40%ers. That's a box of 40%ers (over time, of course). Nice milestone to hit. I'm at 1267 total (with 90%ers).

    :D

    GREAT find Chuckster.

Hmmm, let's see. Many of the ' Seated liberty', ' Barbers', ' walking liberties', 'Franklins', and all of the '64' Kennedys were minted in the millions. You'd think there would still be plenty around to find. But that doesn't seem to be the case, IMHO.

The bank here at my daughter's only would let me have 8 rolls of cents. What a waste of time.

Power of positive thinking!!! (It is good to be a pirate)

I saw Bob's post last night that he hit a milestone. Inspired, when I got up this morning, I thought it would be cool if I too hit a milestone but I had a ways to go so it would take a monster day...

I went this morning and got 2 boxes (Had to run around a bit cuz somebody bought 6 boxes from the first bank and they were out). Anyway, 2 boxes, 1 1967 half...yawn...

My daughter had a soccer tourn today so I go to watch her game. After it was over, there were two banks right by the field. I go in the first bank and they had $66 in halves. I open the ends to see silver on the end of 4 of the rolls. I close them for my kids to look through later. I go into the second bank. The guy teller, says oh yes, I have old halves for you (Hoping, but really thinking he just means "not new uncirculated ones"). He pulls 5 rolls out of his drawer and opens one end to show me silver. Yum! As I am walking out the vault teller flags me down and asks if I want more as she has $160 in the vault if I want them Monday. Of course I say yes. She then tells me they have had them forever but nobody ever wants them. When I get in the car, I notice the 5 rolls he gave me are date stamped by the bank March 2006. I really think these have been sitting in that bank for 5 years...CRAZY as there are many people around here that hunt.

Anyway: 2 banks (Less than 10 minutes of real time) 11 rolls and $6 loose.

    65 40% halves
    13 1964 halves
    1 1963

Including one roll of BU 1965's and one roll BU 1966's. They are gorgeous! $411 worth of silver for $39.50.

So milestone for 40% silver halves hit today. Total found since July 2009 stands at 2,026 40% silver half dollars.

Crazy to think that Bob and I have now pulled over 3,000 of them together in the last year and a half. Imagine if we had started 10 years ago...
