I'm looking for a hundred or so........thinking of a graduated scale based roughly on grade. Say 3 grades......1-$1.10.......2$1.20........3$1.35..........3+$1.5 for AU/MS.

I would also like to eliminate shipping......I travel A LOT...ugg for work all over US and would like to arrange pickup..>?

    Box 1 of Brinks halves: '72 S
    Box 2 of Brinks halves: 1 40%er.

Seems like everyone has had decreasing luck here as of late. Plus my 100 Ikes on EBay ended for $133 but the guy hasn't paid me yet - errrrr!

You've got some time. There are a couple of 100 ike lots at around $120 that end today. Why did you list them with such a high starting price?

Because I don't particularly care. $50 is about what the hassle would be worth to me to package 'em and ship 'em out.

I have the Fivaz-Stanton list if you want that. They show some doubled 68s, 70s, 85, 04, etc. And new dies are being discovered all the time. What I did was complete a set in 2x2 flips, stored in vinyl 3 ring binder pages. When sorting I toss any "funky" ones in a cup. Later I compare them to the ones in my set to see if there is any doubling or something different. Oh, the 71P seems very hard to find. Might hang on to any of those.

    Good luck searching

I start my Ikes at 99 cents and let them bid it up. I've never been disappointed. I just sold a 90 coin lot for $120, plus $5 shipping. The small flat rate priority mail box works great (just make sure you take the heck out of it). Starting at 99 cents there is no entrance fee, and more bidders get involved.

Is there any good reason to keep NIFC halves? I'm not a numismatist, I am sheerly driven by a desire to find silver or other profitable coinage.

I pulled my nicest of each date/mm and cashed in the rest.

Is anyone here searching in Massachusetts? If so, send me a PM, I'd like to bounce some information off of you and see if it makes sense or you're seeing the same things.

Searched 5 boxes this week - I'd say 40% of the coins were marked - No silver

4 Boxes of halves, 1-90%, 1-40%. Better than a swift kick to the balls, but not much. Guess the hot streak is looooong gone. 10 boxes of halves the last 2 weeks, 4 silvers. Oh well, keeping at it.

$100 in CWR of someone else's dump in halves. I saw each roll had "X-S" marked on them but didn't want to not but them and be rude since she went to the vault for them. Didn't find anything like I suspected except for 1 NIFC in poor condition.

I'm trying to put together a full set of Kennedy NIFC 87 and 2001-2010 P&D. I've seen complete sets of these go on Ebay for a nice premium.

I pulled a about 150 CWR whith X'd out once before and hit around 11 40%. I almost didn't buy the roles until I found out sometimes the tellers mark them when they sell to the vault teller.

I still went through them. I learned that there was another person buying halves from my source. I hate that he's dumping that my good teller tray bank though. It was only $100 so hopefully it was someone who does it on the side and not in bulk. I'm on the hunt tomorrow... and my wife is going to make chocolate covered strawberries for the tellers at my good banks and dump bank. Gotta stay on the good side of them.

    Fivaz-Stanton list

Hey Gary, could I get a copy of the Fivaz-Stanton list?

    Box 5 for the week 3 40s
Box 6 was already gone through and taped up. When I got it home I was ticked as these should have come right from the supplier. I'll chalk it up to learning and simply not accept an open box in the future.
5 boxes total - 5 40s and 1 proof. Not looking so great lately. Uggg.

Isn't the 1970 Kennedy half a 40% coin? I goggled it and is came up at 40% but I never see it included on sales.

$50 CWR; nothing. But the teller did pass me a well-worn 1945 quarter, after I was explaining that I liked to search rolls with my son. I felt duty-bound to pass it along to him. :)

Also $4 loose from teller trays; nothing of interest there, either. The timing just wasn't right today, and I'm pretty sure all the vault rolls around here have been searched at this point.

Just found a 98 Wake Me Up Before You Go Go! (WAM) I was going through a bag of cents ($50) from my banks sorting machine and there is was in pretty darn good condition. I'm not good with grades but it shines like VICTORY!

Edit: HOT DOG! Not even 10 mins later I found another '00 WAM! The tellers who suggested I buy bags off the counting machine instead of boxes are going to get something special!
