    Now that's awesome! Never found a steel wheat or one close to MS before. Good find. Especially since you got it for $.01!

  6. Thanks, johnnyflesh! I know that they use magnets to detect counterfeits, so I was really suprised to find it.

    Some guy on the "other" forum found a Brinks box with 761 40%ers (that's SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY ONE in a single box!!) this weekend----

    got 4 more wheat cents out of 1 register today. checked 3 more and nothing. didnt feel like gambling on rolls.

    40 rolls of dimes-- 5 silver Roosies, plus one impaired 1975-S proof. No 2010's.
    40 rolls of quarters-- 2 silver Washington business strikes, plus one impaired 1963 proof

    Last box of halves yielded 3 40%ers (1967, 1967, 1968d) and a Panamanian half dollar (1975).
    Did 1 box of dimes and got 1 rosie (1947).

    Yep, could have missed some 1909 S vdb or 14 D's for sure. Guess the mystery is part of the thrill of the hunt ? It is for me anyway.

    First box of Nickels:

    1 War Nickel (44 P)
    1 Bermuda 5 Cent 1990
    1 Dime
    4 from 1940's
    20 from the 1950's.
    Also a 1970 S that feels and looks very odd. Never seen a proof nickel but it almost feels like it's made of aluminum. I set it aside til I can find a scale.

    Gonna try to finish this other box today.
