Finding Indians is fun I have only found one a 1903 as well but not as nice and I found a Buffalo Nickel in a roll 1935 I believe. Both of these came from a Bank that wraps their own coins brought in by customers. Congrats and keep up the search.

Gary, if you don't want to get anything good from that bank ever again, feel free to get the tellers interested in collecting! Just what you need, more competition for the good stuff.

Plain and simply not true. Many tellers I have gone to are interested in Ikes, and will give up other good stuff in exchange.

Had to stop at the bank today so I picked up $10 worth of penny rolls..

bunch of canadian coins - mid 60's and up
a German 2 Pfennig from 1968 (thats cool)
    5 Wheats - oldest 1937.. the rest were 50's
and a really nice Red AU 1962-D

Not bad for the first time in a long time

Hit up some banks today, nothing but clad in the trays. A bank that's always done fairly solid for me also had 3 CWR's... first I opened had 6 40%'s. The rest were clad, reminiscent of when I got 11 90%'s outta one roll there.

Also picked up two boxes that were alright. First was 13 40%'s (Most excellent!) and the second had 2 90% 1964's.

    Not Issued For Circulation

If you look at the mintage figures for pre-2002 halves, you'll notice that the numbers were around 15-20 million per mint (excluding S-proofs and silver proofs) per year. In 2002 the numbers drop to 2-3 million which is when they stopped issuing for circulation. 2001p's are listed as NIFC yet there were 21.2 million coins minted...not sure why.

I hold onto these due to the lower mintage.

Box of halves- 7 NIFC (only 1 worth keeping since the rest were scratched up.) Zero silver.

Would like to know what some of you are doing with your silver halves. I was tossing around the idea of selling off some or all of my 40%ers and buy some bullion or ASE's. I have around 50 of them.

I plan on selling off all of my 40%ers and buying more Walking Libertys. For now, I'm hanging onto all of my 90% for now.

Just bought out the half dollars in the teller trays at the local Wells Fargo (The only bank around here open after 5 pm.) no silver. I guess my luck with what I have come to call "laundry silver" is running out. Blast! Better luck next time I suppose.

    Here we go...

I'm such a hoarder. I'll probably sell the 40%'s at the next big coin show in the Philly area.

FWIW, that's 1 full roll of war nickels, BU 48-65, 4 rolls roosies, 1/4 a roll roosies, half a roll Mercs, a few dateless buffs, nearly a full roll of dated buffs, and 1/5 or so a roll of war nickels. In the back, we've got 9.95 rolls of 40% silvers, and 1.9 rolls of 1964's, along with about 3/4's roll of circulated proofs.

    All from roll searching. :D
Fun box! congrats on all the silver.

Trust me, every time I look at it, I want to search more. Excellent reason to keep empty storage rolls around... gives you some motivation to get 'em filled. I've got 3 or 4 empty dime rolls and 5 more half rolls... and if I fill 'em, damn straight I'll buy more.

**** it, what am I saying? I'll never be able to quit this ****.

Picked up my first box of halfs... Only got 7 nifc and 1 40% and 1x Franklin
Happy to get silver... But sure wish I had a faster method of getting cash from coins and not have to send them off to be counted ... And have my money in limbo for 7 days
