    I see what you're talking about, but I don't think that's a doubled die.

Can anyone tell me if they've had any success asking banks for their big bags ($1000 as far as I know) of halves that they take out of the sorting machines? Sounds like a great idea if I could score one. Thanks.

I've only found two banks willing to sell me bags direct off their machines. Every time I've gotten one, it's been far better to me than boxes. One even lets me take partial bags off the machine, which is just awesome... I can go and pick up a few hundred at a time and its a lot easier to dump and go through.

So far, the credit unions that I've talked to in my area won't sell me the bags. I'm having a hard time finding any banks or CU's that have coin sorting machines. Best thing to do is look for local credit unions and give them a call to see if they first have coin sorters and second if they'll sell the bags.

$250 in half rolls, skunked. $1.50 from teller trays, 1- 40%. Go figure.

Looks like someone dumped their collection. Picked up 270 in half rolls and got:

    13 64's
    12 40%
    1 Ben

    The rest were all bicentennial.

The teller wasn't going to give me the rolls since I didn't have an account with the bank. Luckily, I brought my one year old daughter with me who started smiling and waving at the teller. Needless to say the teller melted and gave me the rolls and a brochure on the products the bank offers for next time.

I owe the kid a stuffed animal for this one!

Nice! I need a kid to help me out like that, someone else here does that as well, but I'll keep his name out of my posts. :)

I have no shame...I owe most of my finds to my kids lol. I have had A LOT of tellers say "Oh, it is for your kids? Here!" Hehe, of course I take them with me when we go on treasure hunts most of the time.

LOL, works like a charm every time. Last time out I had a teller give me two 64's and an Ike out her personal stash for my daughter :)

Over the last couple days. About $260 in CWR and loose halves. One very nice 67 with a goldish tone and one 2003d. Better than nothing. I did pick up 130 big ikes though. I've been able to sell them for around $1.20 a piece recently. I like that.

8 40% out of a box and 9 rolls of Taj Mahal (no coin later than 1994, with a couple of rolls of solid 1994). Seems like this was not a cakewale even back then (from when the rolls seem to be from).

Also 590$ in CWR with nothing, looks like I got someone's rejects, but it did include some NIFC.

    Plus a crispy 5$ red seal :D

    First box of 2011 is a skunk for silver. 3 NIFC's (2003p, 2005d, 2007p) and a hazy clad 1976 proof.

what's NIFC? It sounds like it means "Not Found in Circulation" - which would be NFIC?
