Scotto I collect what I like

Just the other day I was cashing a check at the bank and when the teller gave me change in quarters I noticed the first few coins in the roll were all silver so I told her I would take the entire roll. As I maintained my composure until I got home, I opened the remainder to discover the entire roll silver quarters. Half were 1964Ds 63, 62, 61. 60, 59, 55, 52, 49, 48, 42, 39, 27, 37 some were Ds. Best find in many many years.

Haha.. That's what I was thinking..

I went back to 7-Eleven about a month ago after receiving a couple wheats in my change and ended up trading for five rolls of wheats -- the clerk said that some guy went in and paid in rolls of cents.

Believe me... I asked her to check for more rolls that looked like that one and I bought 9 more rolls out of the tellers drawer next to her just to make sure. Very happy with the outcome though. :thumb:

OK, now I'm proud of you. Tellers hate it when I think they have something good in their drawers. I usually stand in the lobby and wait until the line goes down before I ask them to look through everything. Some enjoy the conversation, others go find something else to do.

20 rolls of nickels today only 2 finds, a proof 1970-s, and a silver 45-P. As always it was fun.

4 rolls of Halves, 1 proof, and it is circulated, nice way to spend 20 minutes though.

Just went searched my box of halves this weekend. My best box ever, 4-40% kennedys and a very nice looking 1987 P :smile. Didn't think I would ever find one. Also got a '76 with a nice hole drilled through it.

Sorry, but re-check your red book.
    Only proofs made that year.

You are correct, I missed the nickels notation and thought that he was talking about half dollars.

And I try to admit whenever I am (often) wrong.

(At least that is my wife's opinion.)
