Off topic, but I also work in Harrisburg, and live about 20 minutes south.

 

I picked up $50 worth of quarters day before yesterday in the Monterey Bay area hoping to change my luck while on vacation. Nada. Zip. Going to grab 2 boxes of cents to take home to search before we leave.

Oh, I didn't miss sightseeing to roll search. lol Visiting family who live right at the water. Sea lions bark all night. lol

I live in North Delaware, part of the greater Philly area... work around the greater Philly area too.

 

I searched $30 in nickels I found a 1945-P war nickel nothing out of $105 in dimes

 

1 box today got a 2006 p and a 1968 not bad

 

I think with the price of silver all areas are decently searched. You are welcome to try, but I have been having poor luck lately. I feel like I am getting someone else's dumps though.

 

I lived in Monterey for a year and a half when I was in the Army. I attended the language school there and we could hear the sea lions from my classroom. I really miss that area, it is beautiful. 17 mile drive, Carmel, Monterey Bar Aquarium, Big Sur, Asylomar beach.

 

2 boxes and about $350 in CWRolls.

3 total 40%ers. Ho hum.

 

2 Banks yesterday. One teller had saved $18 in halves for me the other one had $13 for me.

Total 11 40% halves.

I did trade some of my 40% halves for Franklins and Walkers. Then I sold some of my 40% halves. Trying to downsize due to storage issues, but a good problem to have I guess.

So I know this isn't roll searching but I just bought a 1952 dime and a 1943 p nickel for 75 cents from the cashier at the local convenient store. I thought that was a pretty good deal

We're on Ocean View in Pacific Grove. I can hit the water with a rock from my bedroom ! Fantastic view ! I plan to get 2 boxes of cents, but will take them home to search. Just not enough time and I didn't bring my lamp. But I really hope this will change my recent luck ? Tired of getting skunked time and time again with Silver. Hopefully, people here aren't wasting their time with cents ? After finding the 88 RDV-006 cent earlier this year, I keep hoping for some WAMs and the 92 CAMs. lol Aren't we all tho ?

 

I am not a big time roll searcher. But I went out and got a roll of dimes and got two Mercury dimes. 1943 in XF and 1939 in VF. It was pretty cool coming across Mercs in rolls!

 

Update on my 30 box shut out (and to clarify they weren't all boxes, some were loose some customer wrapped rolls, and some bank wrapped that had been split up from a box. No bags)

I found a 40% in the last roll of a box I just searched. I'm switching to Ikes; not for the silver (THAT would b a long shut-out streak) but bc I have a new found appreciation of them, and I want to fill up the ol' dansco lol

 

How do you get ike?? Dollar boxes?

 

Just found a silver dime and a silver quarter. Also, one of the managers sold me a few Peace dollars for $8 each. Apparently a customer used them to buy a hamburger.

 

One of my banks has 2k in Ikes sitting in the vault, and they typically wait until they have 5k to send them in. Something to do with shipping and the space they take up. Idk I didn't argue lol just bought up half of them and gonna get the other half later this week.

 

NICE my bank had a mere 16 ikes that i gladly took lol , anyways i got 2 boxes of dimes coming in so i'll post results hopefully soon
