Around here Loomis and Dunbar work as 1 unit and delivery coins to the same place(s). I spoke to a guy from Loomis who claims that although its not official policy, as long as your counts match at the end of the day, they don't care if you pull coins....boxes like that make it not seem likely
Thanks for the info and I hope you get a few more just like it.

Got 2 boxes and visited one extra bank.
Box 1: ALREADY SEARCHED! the rolls had one end smashed (not rolled) but the box was sealed. Someone searched it, turned it back in and Brinks boxed it up. Needless to say, skunk.
    Box 2: skunk
    Bank: 2 CWRs: Roll one, 15 40%ers :) . Roll two, zip.

Just finished a box of quarters : Squadouche

DID cut a nice deal with a new local bank...they'll order me ANYTHING I want each week, so long as I return the coins to them.

Boxes of halves will be a regular. :)

    Wowzer!!

Pure, dumb luck!!! I did not get any boxes this week. I only stopped at two banks. One was on the way back from my daughter's soccer game. The tellers asks what is up with the halves? She says a guy came in yesterday and another came in this morning looking halves. For some reason she says hold on...comes back as says I have some that I have been saving since Christmas. I had stopped in this bank twice this year. Anyway, she brings back 8 rolls. As she puts them in my hand, I can "feel" the difference. They are heavier than normal rolls. Get home with the kids and find all 8 rolls all 40% silver Kennedy's!!!!!!!!!!!

    Paid $80 for 160 40%'ers with a value of $522

    YUMMY!!!! Pure luck will do!

That's awesome! I got lucky like that awhile back when I got a roll from the local bank and it was all 40% silver. I was quite happy that day.

Grabbed a couple boxes of dimes this afternoon, to have something to do until the box of halves arrives Thursday...already found a silver rosie in the first box.

Gotta admit...I'm digging these clear plastic rolls more and more. Presuming you're JUST silver hunting, it makes searching a box MUCH quicker. Turn em on their side, grab whatever magnification you may desire (if any), and scan the edges.

In this first box (now finished, only the one find) I only opened 6 of the rolls to double check things (dark edges, etc) I couldn't be 100% sure about...entire box took less than an hour.

Got $500 worth of customer wrapped half dollars and every roll was either 1992P or 1995P, all BU. I don't know why anyone would keep so many of those years. Well, I filled 2 holes in my new Dansco album anyway.

That is so funny. I have just the opposite reaction. I got a box of dimes today and was dismayed to see the clear wrappers. It took me all of ten minutes to search the box for silver and I found one, a 1947 D Roosie :) However, I find this very uninteresting (except for finding the silver which I always love). I would MUCH rather open each roll as it holds a mystery. I guess I still love that little boy feeling of opening presents on Christmas morning. Each roll could contain goodies, and I like the suspense of it. Looking at all of the edges in a few minutes takes away the fun of it.

I also got a box of halves today, 2nd in a row that was sealed by brinks, but every roll had been opened on one end, searched, then the coins put back in and the end smashed (instead of machine rolled). Bleck!

did they change the wrappers for coins?
