I was at the bank today and asked the teller if she had any loose halves. She had about a dozen. None were silver, but someone had written with purple marker a large "D" on each coin. It made me mad.

I got two buffalo nickles today for face value. They was both a little worn and hard to see the dates.I made out one which is a 1918 and the other unknown. Also I found two 1920 wheaties and one 1926, with some later years.:thumb:

Haven't roll searched in three days and it's improbable that I will do so today.

    I'm getting the shakes.

I'm in Oklahoma on business and I just walked across the street to a bank. They had $20 of halves. I found one 1974D DDO and one 1964 :D .

Heading to the airport now to go back home...

Bobbeth, your record has been tied.

14 boxes of halves netted me 2-40%.

I had 12 boxes in a row with no silver, last 2 boxes had 1 silver each.

    Holy crap.

    So, I have to pay $2.50 per box fee x 14 = $35.00

    Plus around $15 in fuel = $50

Silver value = $5.88. So, I'm in the hole $44.12. Needless to say, I cancelled all my halve orders.

    Todays $25 in Handrolled Cents
I was hoping for my 1st Indian Head or a Bunch of wheats but got neither, although pulling the 1912 saved these handrolls. I also managed my 2nd cent with Kennedys head etched in it. You can see the glue mark on the back where its been detached from its postcard.

    13 Wheat Cents(41,46,47-S,50-D,51-D,52,53-D,56 x2,56-D,57-D,58)
    1 Kennedy/Lincoln Cent
    5 Canadian Cents

Went to my fav bank today and the teller finally asked me why I wanted so many halves.....I told her I collect them. So she then told me that the old lady that has been bring them in hasn't been back. I was a little upset.... but she did say that they have piles of them in the vault and her exact words were and I quote"FROM GOD KNOWS WHEN" I got the rolls she brought out..... got them home.....let it build up........2 rolls were all Franklins.......Yeah exactly, I said the same thing you just did........the 2 other rolls were all 65 Kennedys. I just stepped in **** and came out smelling like roses

Nice finds. I would be taking out a loan to buy every half in that bank. Very cool.

I finished a box of dimes plus another $150 in dimes and $100 in halves. I found 1 NIFC half, 1 mercury dime, 1 2009P, and 3 2010P. Not the best showing but at least I wasn't skunked.

I picked up another $100 in dimes and $50 in half rolls and $5 in loose halves. Out of the $5 in loose halves was a 1964 and 1966. The teller even told me there were 2 silvers in there when she gave them to me. Think they would have thrown me out if I had kissed her?

I searched two boxes today and had my normal Skunks.....but here is a story that might keep some of you going.

I've been trying to get my brother involved to no avail until recently, so today he got his first bag $1000. Inside the bag was 9-40%, 3-64s, 2-Franklins and get this.....195 Walking Liberties....I'm waiting for a photo but needless to say he's pumped and I'm jealous....
