Nice find, I keep hesitating to ask the tellers if they have old bills...I want to but I usually forget, or they just get the money to me so fast I don't have a chance to ask...

I got 2 rolls of halves today at the bank. Every coin in both rolls was 40% Kennedys except for one it was a 54 Franklin with FBL. It was like christmas

Got a couple of rolls of Lincolns from the local store.....

1st roll, nothing to write home about.....

2nd roll.....very old bank wrapped roll (B of A)....all 1960 D Lincolns in spectacular condition.
Some of them even have the cud under the leg of the R in Liberty...I think I counted almost a dozen of those...

This is gonna be fun looking for all the RPM's, double die's, etc....

I havent been doing rolls (or collecting) for very long, so I don't know exactly how rare this type of roll would be, but I am getting a real kick out of it.

$500 in dimes, nothing. Done dimes for a while.

Nickels made up for it...$100 and I got 11 rolls of 2010, 1 roll of pre-1960, 2 silvers, and 2 buffalos.

The 12 90%ers I pulled this weekend is bittersweet because I got jipped by the stupid coin machine at TD Bank. I have never used there machine and I will never will again. I may call them to see if they will recount or check their reciepts?????

Uh, dude, you need to always have them pull that thing out of it's little box and make sure nothing gets jammed, especially if you realize you're short. I always know approximately how much I have and what the machine should give me, and if it doesn't add up, I just ask one of the tellers to see if it short-changed me. IE, when I cash my change in tomorrow morning, I'll be looking for EXACTLY $500 in dimes and about $76 in nickels. If it isn't adding up, someone will be pulling that thing out.

BTW, did you check the reject slot? Halves get rejected with a bit more frequency than most things.

I had 1500 in halves but it became such a cluster fu** from it starting and stopping then jamming I just told the teller that was helping me that I wanted to stop. I walked out with 450 but felt that I had put in more. I am 65.00 short!!!!!!!!!!

It stops every approximately $100. Nothing you can really do now that you've walked out... I'd never walk out before it was done counting, even if it's a little awkward while other people wait. Not your fault they stupidly programmed their machines to swap halves out so often.

The teller wanted me to keep going saying she would get a bigger bag. I said no I have way way too much and no time to keep having to stop when the bag gets full. I knew I was getting screwed each time the machine stopped and the teller kept feeding the halves in. Unfortunatly sence I could not dump the hole bag I had to wait to dump the remainder today and find out a day later that I was short.

I dumped exactly 250 in dimes at TD bank the other day. I'm very skeptical of the machines. Machine ended up reading out as 248.32....go figure

You got screwed because you left. It doesn't matter if you keep dumping change in when the machine stops because it doesn't sort anything, they just sit on the hopper until it starts up again. If you would have watched the machine and figured out how it works, you wouldn't make such obtuse statements. I have dumped more than $20,000 in change, including $15,000 in half dollars at TD and have probably come out ahead. I certainly haven't lost money.
