I'm glad that your father-in-law took them to the bank for face. Everyone here should be glad also. That's the way we find good stuff roll searching!

That's the best luck of anyone that I've seen on this list regarding silver quarter finds. Those are hard to find. Great job! Congrats.

Box of quarters and a box of dimes.

1 1957 quarter, and 3 silver dimes, two of which were mercs dated 1942 and 1945.

It's all about knowing who their suppliers are. These boxes came from BAC.

I think I need a new bank, or I need to step it up.

Looked throug 29 rolls of nickels tonight. Brinks. Found 8 pre-1960, not including two War Nix - 1945 D and 1943 P. Also two 99.99% Canadian nickels.

Not much, but still had fun. Anyone ever found a War Nix roll searching that wasn't beat to hell? I've found over 20 and none of them would grade above VG.

Best thing I ever found in a roll was a steel penny, but the best part was in the change I got from buying it. A 1945 P war nickel. Boy I wanted to tell the guy who gave me the change.

you should have told him. maybe he had more, the one he gave you was already yours. worst case he doesn't let you change in a few dollars for anymore. i told the guy at cogo's he gave me a silver quarter and a few wheat cents and he let me go through them and take the ones i wanted at face.

Panda, I'd give quite a bit to be in the situation you are it. I'd love to be able to search for rarities and such!

Don't let it bother you too much. It happens more often than not where I am.
