Out of my inaugural box of pennies, I found 2 woodies, 7 wheats (earliest is '30's), 4 Canadians, about 20% pre-1982, less than a roll of 2009, less than a roll of 2010, & one krink in my neck.

I get the 20 pence decently often(1 or 2 per hundred rolls); being worth about 30 cents for the nickel, its well worthwhile.

Had my first skunk dime box today, just a lot of 2010 Ps...still need to open them, but I can't see any silver in the clear wrappers.

I've missed one or two at times, slamster. So just watch while you're opening the rolls.

    1 box of halves, 1 '68.
    $100 in quarters, zilch.
    $100 in dimes, same.

I almost missed two yesterday. Luckily one was in the box on top of the pile, and the other just looked off...at least the edging is spaced a little differently, I think..

Just picked up a few coins from my husband's car - found a 1945 Wheat Cent.

Said fork it, made a bit of a drive, and picked up some more change. Got a box of quarters and a box of dimes...

1 silver quarter (First quarter in a roll find!) and 3 silver dimes, including 1 1941 very high AU Merc dime. Damn near full bands too. Gorgeous gold-brown toning around the legends and devices, with silver fields. My favorite Merc I have so far.

Answered your question when I edited my post... 9. Not that many, haha... 20 would be awesome.

Up to 51 silver dimes total found in rolls... now just need to find a barber and a seated. :p

If you find a seated, I'm moving to philly. Guess I need to step it up then.

Haha, I doubt I will. That would be an incredible find. Someone on here found an 1891 Barber half in a box, that's what really got me into searching.

I'm still waiting for my big find. Haven't done halves in a while...should get a box before I go back to school or something...OR I should buy a lot and say I found them in a box...hmm

Talk to the manager if they didn't send it out already my credit union allows me to buys bags, and when I first asked the tellers thought customers couldn't, this may be different for you though if this is a bank, but I doubt it.

How do you guys sort? Do you have a list (physical or mental) of all the variety dates (and, of course, the silver cut-off date), and do a quick sort into 2 piles [silver & variety] and [common]? Then go coin by coin in the variety pile? Since I just started buying rolls yesterday, I'm trying to find the fastest and efficient way to get it done.

I plan on keeping all common coins that have a pleasing look and then returning the rest to the bank for more coins.

    Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
