I would find a new bank, if I were you. I find it very hard to believe that Bank of America cannot get halves...and $21 a box...thats nuts. I live in a fairly small town (17,000 ppl), and we have 5 different banks here. I don't undestand why so many banks make a big deal about getting halves. I mean they're a BANK aren't they? When I cash my paycheck they give me my money however I want, 20's, 10's, 5's whatever. If I go to the bank with 25 $20's and say I want 5 $100's, they'll do that. So if I go with $500 and want 1000 halves they should do it. If they have to order it, and I have to wait, thats fine. Whatever happened to giving the customer what they want?

Got 3 boxes of halves today:
    Box 1: 1 40%er
    Box 2: 1 Blast White 1964 90%er......this makes the 200th 90% silver half I've found in the last 14 months since I started. I've found 733 40%ers, so only 67 more to go to hit 1000. :)

    Box 3: Will open later.

ALSO, I checked the trashcan next to the coin counter (actually, the lip just inside the swinging flap for the trash) and found a 1912 Lincoln cent. :D It is not in great shape, but it was quite a jolt to find it. It made my day.

That's a very nice haul...how many boxes did you go through in 14 months to get that silver?

Got a bag of halves, no silver so far, one 2001 P.
$100 in CWR halves no silver

Also what are some of the different marks y'all are seeing on halves? (I have been seing red slashes and dots for the most part and now I'm finding C's near the rim of the half.) Or if you mark halves what are your marks?

The only thing that happened to coin cxollecting is that the bank tellers starting hoarding coins at the most possible oppurtunity

    Hit 50!

The teller I went to yesterday told me she found a silver cert., had it on her, but wanted to keep it.

    I don't blame her ;)

    Box of Brinks plastic-wrapped dimes, got 2 silver (61D & 63D).

That puts me at 50 junk silver dimes for the year (started about January with dimes), excluding what went into my Dimes album (at 23 + Rev. & Obv.).

    Silver shortage in Houston

    Box 3 of halves: Shutout.
    $30 in CWR: Shutout

It has really dried up here in Houston. Here is my most recent finds:
    Last $630 of CWR: 2 40%ers
Last 17 boxes of halves: 12 total silver (4 of those 90%ers) including 11 shutouts.

    Eeek!

    Found a 2000 Wide AM

Hello everyone, I just picked up a box of pennies today and into about the fifth roll , besides three wheats , I found my first 2000 Wide AM.

My question is: Is it okay to clean these or will grading companies get jiggy wit it?

I found this 2000 Wide AM in a box of Cents today. Think it is okay to clean it or does it affect value when grading?

Nice find, grats! And personally, no, i wouldnt clean that coin. You might get it labeled as cleaned.

Im still going through my box of pennies from the Weekend. In addition to the 1955 DDO and 98 WAM, i found a 1941 clipped panchet, and a RPM(i think from 1986, its at home, so cant remember right now), and about 4 wheats total. Im only 10 rolls in. been busy photographing and showing off my DDO lol

Think im going to pick up a box of dimes on friday. Looks like people have been getting lucky with these lately

KUDOS on the '55 DDO.. I'm still hoping for one. Sent my 1971 DDO-01 to ANACS last week and hoping for a MS66 Grade.

Box #1 : Nothing except a 1972 that was toned that I put in the album
    Box #2 : 2 40%ers 1966 and 1969D, also a few toned halfs and a 2003P circulated though so I will spend it.

Nice finds! I'm selling the rest of my 2010 P rolls to a dealer so I don't have to deal with the ebay/paypal money monster anymore.

Might do another box of dimes this week!

Looks like I'm back to normal after finding 90 40% Kennedy halves on vacation up north. Today I looked through $300 of CWR from three different banks about 80 miles from my house. Small farming communities. Got Skunked.
