Picked up 30 Rolls of half dollars today from 4 different banks - we'll see what these rolls turn up. My last run of 10 rolls 3 weeks ago netted 5 silver, 10 40% halfs and 1 proof.

    I found this one today

Notice the doubling at the date and mint mark ? RPM or machine doubling ?

Found a 1947 Canadian Nickel with the leaf and also found a 1960P Dime Uncirculated

Cool. All the 1947's seem collectible, because each variety has about half the mintage.

went and used my nickel money for $70 in halfs this bank had left.

Pulled 42, 40%'s out of the rolls, most of them were rolled all together with a few clads in it. super happy!

    That's GREAT !

I haven't seen any silver since about 1970. LOL Seriously, I cannot find a single one. I think every person in Las Vegas checks their coins ?

    Good find.

$300 halfs yielded eight 40%'s - going to take them 30 miles out of town so they don't come back.

Whew!! As I posted earlier this morning, box #1 of 4 promised to be good from the start and it didn't disappoint. All I can say is, WOW, whatta box. Just finished it up and am relaxing with the spoils and a ice cold one. Here is what was eventually harvested:

-36 40%ers. Of these, there were 7 AMAZING very strong DDR's
    -1973-S Proof and a 1991-S clad Proof
    -2001-P NIFC BU
    -2003-P NIFC AU
-And, one of the most unusual error coins I've ever found---a double error 1972-D no "FG" and DDR with STRONG doubling in "Dollar". You'll see this coin starting on eBay tomorrow night, auction 280518672826.
-And one very strange coin, a 1983-P. I have posted an image of it---at first take it looks like a mutilated customized coin, but the strange thing is that the edge shows no copper---it is blaze white like a silver coin and sounds like silver when dropped. Puzzling coin----

Well, back at it again tomorrow morning. I can only hope in my dreams tonight that box 2, 3 and 4 are this good----

Aren't grandpa's great? My 9 year old just came back with a roll of 2010 Shield pennies Grandpa gave her.

Her uncle from Wyoming was also there and gave her a 1976 Canadian 25 cent and 1968 Swiss 2 Franc.

Ain't it great when all you're relatives collect coins, too.

Wow, Gypsy, that is a GREAT dime box.

I opened a box of halves today:
    1 1982 no FG
1/2 of a magician's coin with Kennedy reverse on one side and a Mexican reverse on the other
    3 40%ers
    1 1964 90%er

    Ferdy:
    1) that eBay auction # is NG
    2) That JFK is post mint damage and probably plated.

I have found them before and did some reading here on CT and elsewhere and you're exactly right. They're plated and then stamped, all worth 50c
