Roll-searchers, post your results!

Did 15 rolls of cents last night. 6 wheats - oldest 1924. I'm guessing only 20 to 25% pre-1982. Also found two King Edward Canadians and a Euro 2 cent coin! I love the foreign stuff.

Ordered a bunch of plastic tubes to store all of my half dollar finds in, besides the Walkers and Franklins, of course. Oh, and for my pennies... and when I start roll-searching nickels... I figure I'll put any silver dime I find in a 2x2, so no point in having a roll for those.

 

I have several steelies, does anyone know if there are coin books just for these steel penny's?

 

By books do you mean a reference or something like a Dansco or Whitman folder?

Either way I found another steelie in the same batch.

I went through $190 in hand rolled halves found 3 40%ers, 1 1964 and found a 1987-P also the teller had a silver quarter a silver dime and a 40% silver half set aside with a couple of Eisenhowers the lady thought they were junk and wondered why I wanted them but I was sure happy to buy them from her :smile

 

I just started getting a few more of the 2009 D LP 4's in rolls. Along with some decent 60's & 70's. But I have a ton of nice ones from that time and haven't paid a lot of attention to them except to set them aside for later scrutiny, as I pull all the copper anyway.

 

Work needs more pennies (CENTS LOL) so I'll have to pick some up tomorrow when I go to get my half dollars (hopefully) from BAC.

 

They sell folders without any wording for things like this.

 

My A/C got fixed today, so instead of waiting for the tech, I can get outta here and get some rolls !

Oh Yeah. 5th day of near 110 or over ! I cussed out my Insurance agent, sent a nasty e-mail to my bank and refused to go with my wife to check on her mom ! Another day and life would not have been worth living. LOL

Now I get to write all those letters of apology, dang it !

STORY TIME!
as ive mentioned in previous posts ive got a friend that is a manager at a bank that brings me rolls of halfs for doing their yard work and stuff (because I do it for free and she knows I wont take bills)

well I gave her two rolls of halves to switch out with the $90 worth that they have

well she sent me a message saying she switched them and to come grab them

I go over there and have a beer, talking with them and I open them up, I see a silver. I get all excited, I keep looking and out of $20 there are 27 40% half dollars, two that are ms63ish an 01p, and a 71 and 72 that are near ms63 also.

Im taking the money I use for my nickels and going and getting the rest tomorrow.

I searched 2 boxes of halves I found 5 1964 halves a 1958 Franklin and 7 40%ers

 

Found a 1938 cent in XF/AU,
a 1941 Canadian cent,
a dime (in a cent box )
and a 1918 cent in VG+ that has an interesting multi-colored tone. Idk if it's natural or AT, but I like it I'll start a thread w a pic to see what people think of the toning

 

Well, I got my 4 boxes this morning from the bank.

In the very FIRST roll in the FIRST box, I found 2 40% and a 2001-P NIFC.

I can also see some silver ones on the ends of some of the other rolls in this box.

I'll update later---this could be a VERY good box!
