Some penny searchers do. I do because they are worth about 2 cents a piece in copper value. In my opinion copper is going to be the next "silver" in a few decades.

I thought the type 2 was without the Islands south of Florida. I think I can see all three of them on this coin ? As much as I can see from the pic, I am guessing a type 3 ?

Thank you G-man422 I also went threw another $6.00 today at another branch and got a 1964,1966,1967, and a 1968D half dollar. Went threw $200 in dimes and got a 1946,1956, and a 1964. Searched threw a bag of $800 dollar worth of halves after that and found nothing. We are going to the bank tomorrow to cash in all the coins and pick up 2 boxes of halves from Bank of America. Also I am trying to get a good picture of the 1892 barber half to put up here but I only have a camera on my cell phone but I would like to see everyone's opinion on grade even though it is pretty worn. My heart almost did stop when I found it though :)

    This was annoying...

This was a pleasant surprise, because I had never seen a 2010 cent in the flesh before. However, I didn’t want nearly fifty bucks worth!

As an aside, within each 2010 P cent roll were three or four pennies in varying stages of blaaaaah. I found one 1944 wheat, which was somewhat nice. I’m keeping a few rolls and returning the remaining ones back to the credit union with a friendly reminder that I want the old stuff.

Question: Why do you think the rolls each contained a few non-2010s? Just wondering!

Don't the banks get their cents in bags ? Maybe whoever tossed them into the hopper tossed in a broken roll of other cents ?

I GOT A BOX JUST LIKE THAT on Saturday. How weird. Only, all of my new ones are all 2008 Ds. Strange huh? My rolls have about 5-7 each that are brown. I haven't gone through but 3 rolls so far.

Should have that $1k that I was supposed to get last week arriving tomorrow at the local bank. Another 500 near my work... gonna get some pennies too, and probably have another bank order a couple rolls of dimes for me too... why not?

ok just finished a bank box of cents

    For the Pre-1959 stuff:

    (8) Wheats
    1936 , 1946-S , 1951-D , 1955-D , (2) 1956-D , 1957-D & 1958-D.

    Foreign:

    (8) Canadians

    For cents between 1959 & 1982:

    (6) 1959's
    (27) "S" mints
    (66) AU-BU

    For odd balls & specials:

I think I found a 1983-D RPM but have been unable to locate a like-image on coppercoins nor lincolnresource.
I see that Coneca lists RPM's for 1983-D , but have been unable to find a matching photo.

I also found a strange 1974-D that looks like the steps on the reverse got partially repunched at a 15 degree angle.

All in all this was a good box !

just got a 1901 ihc. i guess its not really roll-searching, but i went through a big jug of pennies. my girls mom said if i roll them, i can keep anything good i find.

it is my first ihc, i was hoping it would be a key date, but with my luck its not:(. it is in xf condition though.

i also found a 1927 buffalo, condition is ok, the date is fully on at least.

last i found a log cabin lincoln. i really love the way they look. and this one is in great shape, it looks like it was just dropped in there from a new roll!

i am sure i will find more good things in this jug, at least i hope i do..

Are the Log Cabins worth keeping ? Becaise I have been getting a few that look unc, but I have rerolled them for return.

    Thanks

I've been hangin on to the UNC ones and tossing the others back into circulation. I've quit keeping the LP2's and LP3's because they show no signs of ever being worth much. I think the LP1's and LP4's have the best chance of being valuable in the next few decades.
