A couple days ago in a bank, I could see 4 silver dimes. I asked for them and she said she was keeping those because they were silver. I HATE when that happens.....if you want it, put it out of site!

The last 17 pound bag of un-search wheats that I got off of eBay ( which I am still sorting through ) had so many good low-end coins , including 8 IHC's so far. They were all common dates and "LIBERTY" could just barley be made out on a few of them.

maybe do a search for "17 pounds" ;)

What was the shipping cost for 17 pounds of pennies?

They vary. The simplest way is to search the various sites that auction or sell "17 pounds' or "34 pounds" of un-searched wheats and they should provide the actual shippings costs. Optionally you can visit the calculator at the USPS.

My half dollar drought has ended!

It has been while since i've posted, mostly because i haven't had much luck. After many, many boxes with nothing but post '02 NIFC's (if even those), i gave up on halves and switched to dimes. It took about 4 months, but i found 53 silver dimes including 3 Mercs in about 25 boxes. Not a huge windfall, but considering how few halves i was finding, it was better than nothing!

About 2 weeks ago i stoped into a usual bank and asked for a box of dimes. Sitting in the teller's tray was a stack of halves with many silver edges showing. When i asked if i could buy the halves, the teller said "sure, i think these are silver too!" He also had 2 rolls whichi bought also. The two rolls were completely 40% silver halves. Including the loose ones there were 54 silver halves!

Yesterday i deided to buy a box of halves again. I had a feeling it might be good, because the box looked like it had been in the vault awhile. I was not disappointed!
    19 40% and 1 1992-s proof!

Next week: i'm ordering 3 more boxes. Hopefully the regional source (Wells Fargo) is near the bottom of pallet or digging into old boxes that haven't been searched, because i know i've just been re-searching searched coins!

Continued luck to all you oter searchers!

I'm usually a cent roll searcher but I get a roll or so of halfs per week to look through and then spend. Today in one of the rolls I found a 40% bicentenial and a lustrous MS 1983 p. :)
