10 40% halves out of 170$ both rolled and loose.

Plus another 190 that is crimped on one side. I may just return it as is if I don't have the time.

I finally got 15 dollars worth of pennies. You should have seen the look on the teller's face!
Ironically, all the coins i kept were in the last 5 rolls.
    I found:
    -1903 Indian head
    -1945, 1952D, 1956, 1958D.
(not bad for only finding them in the last 5 rolls!)

I started to look back at posts in this thread and couldn't find the type of coins you typically collect so I will just ask:

What coin type was your 1937-S ?

    Thanks,

    Joseph

Well I just bought my first roll of early cents (1900 on), probably paid to much ($11.00) but will see. I'll let you know what I bought over all.

I am not a big fan of buying sight un seen; Seller showed two ends of a roll, there could be a wooden peg in between; I hope not...tried to purchase other Indian head pennies, but just missed out on their auctions.

    My Recent Finds

    Hello Everyone

I bought five rolls from two seperate sellers off eBay and received them yesterday in the mail. Here's the results from those five rolls.

In one roll: 1909 VDB and 1909 P Not sure of their condition so I included some pictures.

    The other rolls yielded the following;
    1. 1926 D w/serious reverse rotation. AU shape
    2. 1939 S Brown in AU shape
    3. 1935 D Brown in AU shape
    4. 1934 D Brown in AU shape
    5. 1947 P in MS60 Shape
    6. 1940 S in MS Shape
    7. 1937 D in MS Shape
    8. 1930 D Brown in AU Shape
    9. 1942 S Brown in AU Shape
    10. 1919 S Brownish Black in AU Shape
    11. 1937 S Brown in Au Shape
    12. 1929 D Brown in AU Shape
    13. 1929 S Light Brown in AU Shape
    14. 1936 S "
    15. 1920 D Brown in Au Shape
    16. 1918 S Brown in Au Shape
    17. 1931 P Brown in Au Shape
    18. 1957 BU Condition

The rest were duplicates of the above or 40s and 50s not worth mentioning. I think these were the best " unsearched" rolls I have ever purchased off eBay to date. and the total cost was 30 bucks combined for all five.

Today?.. different story. I received a roll I paid over 20 bucks for in the mail. Advertised as Tails to Tails. There was one keeper in the whole role, a 1917 S in AU condition. I am completely convinced it was a very well searched roll since there were a few coins that were obviously recently searched because certain coins were half cleaned and a few cleaned all over except around the date.

    Just goes to show ya!

    Picture 1 1909 VDB..Pic 2 is Reverse.
    Picture 3 1909 P... Pic 4 is Reverse.
