#5/5 bag of 2,500 dimes. The 2007 might be a struck thru, will investigate later.

Have you figured out how to get all the keepers back to the states when you return?

Thanks for asking! I will mail myself a package or two. And by myself, I mean send the packages to my in-laws, who hold the rest of my collection. They’ll likely bring it to where I move to. I might sell off all the silver. I will probably also do one last submission to ICG, having them ship it to my new address.

If you don't mind me asking... Can you take advantage of flat rate boxes back the the US?

Nickel box #... what am I up to, 24?

Silver: none; buffaloes: none; foreign: none; proofs: none; album spots filled: none.

But that's the bad news. Did get some keepers: 2009-D, 1939, 1949-S. So not the most exciting box but not a total waste to go through it.

    Other pre-1960:
    1940-D x2
    1941
    1947-S
    1949
    1952
    1957-D x2
    1958-D
    1959-D x5

    Hunt continues!

    Dime box #4:
    Silver: 1961-D, 1962-D
    Also: 2009-P x3, 2024-D x2, and...
don't know if this counts as a "find" but an extremely scratched-up and mutilated coin that I can barely identify as a dime.

Keeping up that 2 silver per box average! Stay tuned for a nickel box soon.

Went through 70 half dollars. One 40% and one no FG.

    Nickel box #25:
Highlight was finding a 1998 Bahamas 5 cents; this is a type I didn't have yet with the Coat of Arms of the Bahamas on the obverse, instead of Queen Elizabeth II (still with the distinctive pineapple on the reverse).

Other finds worth mentioning: Found a really nice nearly pristine 1970-D. Nothing special about this date in particular but it was in amazing condition so just felt worth saving. Found a few other 1970-D's in pretty nice condition too; my theory is these might be the result of people breaking open 1970-D uncirculated sets to get the half dollars that only show up there, and they figured just spend the nickels that came with them. No proof of this, but seems like a plausible explanation.

Found a 1942-D: already have one, but it was hard to find the first time so it feels like at least a semi-key in my book. So holding onto that.

Also another 1943-P silver war nickel!

    And a 1948-S semi-key date.

    Other pre-1960 finds:
    1941 x2
    1941-D x2
    1947 x3
    1949-D
    1953-S
    1954-D
    1956
    1956-D
    1957-D x3
    1958
    1958-D
    1959-D x3

    Search continues!

I have been on a dry spell lately. I have had some great searches in the past year or so but this year since January 1st I have opened eight boxes of half dollars and have only found one silver. It was a 40%.
