I'm not much of a gambler but I'd play $1 for Canada being the country. No?

Over a long period of time, starting a long time ago, I'm sure. If you've got a big stash of US change overseas, it's not like you can just spend it, so it's probably somewhat more likely to sit undisturbed for a longer time.

    No, as I recall.

I’m afraid I cannot give away all the secrets. I suspect many of these coins have been overseas for decades, just waiting to be sorted and deposited. As a small explanation, I am in the military, and I have access to a U.S. bank overseas that takes rolled coins. If not for that, I wouldn’t be able to take the coin as it would be too costly to ship it to the USA. I don’t speak to my supplier about my finds and my supplier doesn’t complain that I’ll take bulk lots of coins they’ll otherwise not be able to do anything with. Win win :)

I am very protective of my hunting grounds and will have to leave you guessing on any further details.

That's smart, you might lose your rights if you spill the beans. You have a good thing going wherever you are.

While I do not plan to move overseas anytime soon, I understand.

I have been striking out on the Ws lately. Yesterday I picked up 6 rolls, and I have 24 to look at (I haven't yet, if I hit one I will post.) But in the 5th roll, at first I thought someone took a black sharpie to the reverse. It must have been part of some special 2010 set as it is deep cameo, mirrored and frosty. The photo isn't even that good. In hand it is spectacular.

Maybe this one is better: (so hard to photograph) I'll try later when the light changes.

THAT is n exceptional piece. I am certain you have taken the caution to encapsulate and protect.

Looks like someone got tired of being offered less than face value for clad quarter proof sets, and decided to crack and spend.

The obverse is nicer and very frosty it's hard to photograph, but the reverse looks like this:

GF picked up 2 rolls for me and I had 33 looks at a W and pulled one in one of my rolls. I have 6 of the 10 designs, and of course this is the one that I have the most, and the condition is not the best, but I am not looking at a gift W in the mouth. I have it in acetone now to see if the goo comes off.
The DCAM is one of my favorite pulls in a long long time.

Got this from change given to me this week. Was quite surprised! it's my second old coin this month.....
It's dirty, beat up and ugly as Sin but it's mine!
Looks like 1917, no? How much did I gain here? I'm not sure it can be raw graded. Not Encapsulated and all.

Def 1917. The obv is G4 or worse but the reverse looks pretty good. F-12 at least.

The acetone did a good job, but I still see some goo, putting it back in.
Looks better in hand. The photo exposed the goo.

Very sad about the scratches making this coin a details grade. Even so, a VERY nice clash on it. Will still keep and probably encapsulate it, if I do not find a stronger one. @paddyman98 thought you’d enjoy.

My latest Loomis nickel box produced a few fun finds. Leading the list was a low mintage 1955 and a 1944-P. Honor mention was a 1954-S and a no date Buffalo.
