Will eventually figure that out. Right now, no clue! Probably give to local scouts or something.

Done with nickels. I searched a total of 15,000 nickels and these are the war nickels, Buffalo nickels, Liberty nickels, and world coins I pulled from the lot. Will move onto quarters and/or half dollars next.

Oh, man, I can't wait to see what you get in quarters and halves there!

Nickels are always my best. I hate having to roll them after because they take forever, but the searching is always a good time.

I’ve got 2,000 halves to search. I think I’ll pull 74-Ds, all silver, and the 72-D and 82-P no FGs.

    Nickel box #12:

Two more spots in the album filled; 1938-S (key date!) and 1944-D silver war nickel! Also got an upgrade to 1954-D.

Not a Jefferson nickel: 1997 Canadian nickel

    Everything else worth saving:
    1940-D
    1941 x2
    1941-D
    1949 x2
    1951-D
    1952
    1952-D
    1953
    1954-D x2 (including the upgrade)
    1955-D x2
    1957
    1957-D
    1958-D
    1959-D x4
    2009-D

Searching continues! Only a few empty spots left in the album now.

Could just buy some of these I suppose but I haven't given up hope finding them from roll-searching. Every nickel in my album I only paid face value for, and want to keep that streak going!

    That’s awesome! I’ve yet to find a 1939-D, or 1950-D, or anything other than 1938-P. :)

Technically, I do own a 1950-D nickel, but it's one I bought for my US type set (figured, have to have a nickel for that spot, may as well be the key), and didn't want to move it into the nickel album. Besides, that would be "cheating" lol... everything in the nickel album was found doing roll-hunting, and I want to keep it that way as long as possible.

Turns out I had 1,000 half dollars, not 2,000. Even so, a decent turnout. The 1974-D are stacks of 5. Will look at those more closely at another time. Did not find any no FG. Found 9x 40% silver and 2x proof coins.

I’m the same way. Only need a found 1944S to complete a folder

One Loomis $500 quarter box produced two West Point scores. Those “off” mintage years from 2009-2012 produced five finds each in 2009 and 2010, one find in 2011, and seven finds in 2012 including three from Puerto Rico. Unfortunately no silver in the box.

For my collection it is a 1938-S, 1950-D, and four from the war nickel years.

Here is from searching 17,500 dimes. Admittedly, I just pour them a handful at a time, listen for silver pinging, and then dump them into a box. Likely missed one or two, and definitely missed all the errors and varieties. But, have to give somewhere to be able to spend the time I do on quarters and nickels. 37 silver dimes total.

@Seattlite86 , Where do you get coins like these? I would love to find 4+ silvers a box.

How does that much U.S. silver get to a foreign country? What country is it. You have me very interested right now.
