Nice find! Tough to get a Liberty, a 110 year old coin!

stopped by the bank today on a whim. Asked for Kennedy halves. One teller said he had $80 rolled and $5 loose. I could see the loose coins had silver in them. Bought the bunch. Nice day! 42 silver halves, Several nice clean coins in the bunch.

Switching to a box of nickles produced a few good keepers. Topping the list was a low mintage 1950 Philly, followed by a fairly low mintage 1951 (also from Philly). Also, a 1941-S. The early decade count showed seven from the 1940's and five from the 1950's. There were also a total of three business strikes from 1968, 1969, and 1970 S for Frisco fans.

Searched a box of nickels. Found a record high 52 pre-1960 nickels including some really nice late 50's nickels. And a proof 1964. Gorgeous coin.
Also found 1984 and 1985 Canadians, 2005 Bahamas coin.

Here are my pics of the really nice finds

$120 in BWR halves from one bank held nothing of interest.

From my earlier post, the Jefferson nickel die chips I got in the latest box/roll search.
    I earlier ID'd this as a 2016, it is a 2006.
Also found two different 2021 die chips. The first one I only found one, the second on I found 17 before I quit keeping them. 2021 P Nickel die chip 1 rev zoom 2.jpg 2021 P Nickel die chip 1 rev.jpg 2021 P Nickel die chip 2 rev zoom 2.jpg 2021 P Nickel die chip 2 rev.jpg

The latest nickel hunt could have been better but a war nickel find always is welcomed. Honorable mention was a low mintage 1958 from Philadelphia. The early decade count revealed seven from the 40's and two from the 50's.

I believe it's a worn down strike through. Thoughts?

Loomis claims to be pulling the silver out, I usually just get 5 rolls once in a while when I withdraw cash. I'm just looking for W's, an occasional impaired proof S coin,
or one of the new releases for my album. (Who come's after Sally Ride? I haven't seen any.) So in this batch there were 3+ rolls of Sally Rides which I need to update my album coin anyway but they are all destroyed. I have 2 maybes that I will reexamine and see if it is better than my album coin. I open the last roll and I thought I saw a silver edge, but I assumed it was just a discolored/beat up modern one that sort of looked like that. 1954-S less than 12 million minted. I have 12 shots at a W, if I get lucky I will post.

I was just asking about the next quarter and I got this in change today.
Wilma Mankiller. The next one has already been released: Nina Otero-Warren August 16, 2022. Sorry for the crappy photo there is nowhere in the new house where I can get a good coin photo. Used to be easy, now it is impossible.

We are always behind out here. My credit union is 2 behind. Sprouts always has the new ones which is what I got today. Looking for yours next. Never heard of her, or Mankiller.
