Same deal lol another bank down here when I went the people didn't understand how I wanted to exchange rolled coins I had for what they hadIt took a few rocks on the head to get some sense into them.I just went back recently and they still had trouble but I got some silver anyway so....

My banks have been pretty short on coins,they say there's another coin shortage from not much circulation activity.

$40 CWR halves from 1 bank today yielded only an AU bicentennial worth keeping.

 

Found 3 forty percenters total in two boxes this week. I'm not mad because I have only found one other silver throughout all of the other boxes lol

 

$100 in halves no silver I'll have to take a closer look.At least one coin was marked per roll not sure if recently done.

 

My 5th one, no complaints! All have been pretty early die states.
I sure would love to find a much later state of that crack though

Today in my change came up with a 1944 cent au.

 

I'm traveling for work and staying in a small town. Had a couple hours to kill so hit 2 of 3 banks in town and bought all their halves, which was $10 loose (teller put them in a wrapper for me), 1 CWR (note the old wrapper), and 6 BWRs...2, 40%ers in the CWR with the old wrapper, woohoo! I am satisfied.

 

Switched up my order last week and picked up 4 boxes of halves and 2 boxes of cents today.
3 boxes of halves were skunk but the last one was a doozy:
8x90%ers
3 Walkers (18P, 20P, 41S), 3 Bens (54D, 56P, 57D,) 2 Kens (64Px2)
15x40%ers (65x3, 66, 67x4, 68Dx3, 69Dx4)
Total Ag: 5.11oz

Wow, that is quite the haul!

 

I have had the same thing happen to me several times. It can be frustrating, but once I found a bank with tellers that understood the concept of an even trade, I don't have too much trouble now if they have any coin.

 

I’ve probably gone through 10 boxes of halves over the last year or so. Today I got six rolls and got one full roll of 2020 D and this 67. Finally a silver.
