The nickels are the worst to open for some reason. I think it is due to the fact that I have to look at Jeff's ugly mug.

Meow has found this quarter with a chunk missing out of it. Meow thinks it might be a lamination, with a little bit of PMD. Thoughts?

Got a 1909 (plain) wheat in a penny roll, and of course it had to be one that my wife searched. That one gave me goosebumps and oh how satisfying it would have been to find that VDB on the reverse... but alas...

    Okay, finally.
I stopped at the bank Saturday, just for kicks & asked if they had any half dollars.

The teller said sure, and brought over a roll.
    I'll take it.

Went to the counter glanced inside and went back & asked if she had any more.

Sure, I have two more rolls. I'll take them.

    Here is what I had:

PS: I haven't posted here in years, literally, with any finds.

    so, the suspense is building:

    1st roll:

  9. Treashunt

    Treashunt The Other Frank

    and then:

    all three:

    Treashunt The Other Frank

    net result:

    40% silver:

    #57 pieces: 1965 to 1969 D.
    #3= 1964 90%

    all JFK's.
But, based on Saturday's silver melt: the 40% = $214.95
    the 90% = $27.66

    Total silver at melt: $242.61

Not a bad day at all.

So, I stopped at the 7-11 and figured: Why not? bought a lottery ticket:

    heck why not another:

    upload_2021-8-2_7-3-16.jpeg

then I went back to metal detecting-- nothing..

    Still I can't complain

WOW! Fantastic Find and great luck on Lottery! I would go back to the bank and check for other customer wrapped rolls! May be a roll or 2 of silver quarters or dimes!

I found this in a roll and thought it quite interesting. I'm not sure if it was a vice job or a mint error, but I held onto it for the sake of being unique.

I'd take rolls of 1921 dimes and cents any day of the week :p
I did find a well worn 1911 and 1919 cent in my last box.

I hate that, too. Like the person will actually come across the marked ones again anyway, and so what if they did. Stupid.

I'll hang it up as a happy guy when I find my 1909-S VDB, 1914-D, and 1922 Plain. I might switch to some other denomination once I check those boxes.
