My week has been much less interesting.
2 boxes of halves - solid 2021P (again)
box of nickels - solid 2021P (again)
$100 quarters - New Jersey impaired proof, Tall Grass Prairie "W"

Have 2 boxes of cents to go through but who knows...

After a little closer inspection......I got 24 State Quarter Proofs (no doubles)and 18 pre 1999 eagle back proofs (some from the 60's).

In SILVER Proofs I found 23 State Quarters and 8 Eagle backs. The rest were all P's and D's in UNC condition (2 rolls) I think I only tossed 6 quarters into the dump pile. I'm STOKED!

Curiously, are the W coins worth anything? I figure they will keep minting them for each quarter style/series, until there are a hundred million W quarters floating around.

 

They were only made for two years. They do have added value. Just check completed sales on ebay.

 

So there is no W quarters for 2021?

 

Nope no W's for 2021. Just 2019 and 2020 . The 2020 quarters have the V75 Privy Mark 2019 don't. 2 million W quarters of each years design were made (10 million total each year). None sold directly by the mint. all dumped in circulation. Most are selling for 10 to 15 dollars ea. on ebay. Some designs are bringing a higher amount.

Got 6 more rolls of pennies from the collection dump at my bank. Included 5 IHC. 5 steel cents plus a bunch of wheat pennies and a couple rolls of uncirculated 60’s through 2000’s LMC. Out of 6 rolls I only dumped 40 cents.

 

Wow someone robbed someone.

 

Bought 6 rolls of quarters from my bank today. Opened one to confirm my suspicions, and yep. Solid 2021 WCD quarters.

 

That's crazy. I still haven't seen one in the wild here. I got a few rolls of quarters at my pick up last Friday and they were still 2020 TGPs. Not that I'm complaining, I got a "W" from it.

 

My first rodeo with perusing Half Dollars was a success in my mind. No pre65s but four 40%ers were snagged. Attached are the obverse and reverse of the coins.

 

I went to my bank last week and asked for 2 rolls each of quarters, nickels, dimes, and pennies. I asked the teller to take a peek at the end of each roll and if they look circulated, those are the ones I want first. She said a customer deposited some self rolled coins the other day. I said I'll take those!

In a dime roll:
2 -1964 Roosevelt dimes
1 - 1963 Roosevelt dime
1 - 1953 Canada 10 cent

I did pretty good today all quarter rolls.

 

Got another box of solid 21P halves and a box of solid 21P nickels. This is killing me.

 

Just got back from a second trip.Different bank and thats right,another 2020 bat Wnot done yet.

 

I feel your pain! Without opening the rolls the evidence points that I am the owner of a solid box of 21P nickels. Hope our luck gets better.
