Went to the bank Yesterday and had a great day I got a box of pennies and found the following
    1 1957P
    1 1940 Canadian Penny
    1 1949S
2 1957D all came in one roll the 57D's that is.
    1 1945P
    1 1944P
    1 1958D
    1 1942P
    1 Red 1962D, 1963D
    4 Log cabins
    2 Lawyers
    1 Rail splitter

Here is why it was a great day the teller asked me if I would be interested in some $ rolls she showed them to me and they were 1979 P SBA Dollars! She had $200 I had a $50 in the wallet and got 2 rolls and she said she would save the rest for me.
Anyways opened the two rolls at home and found 7 Wide Rims BTW the coins were in a Original BANK Wrapped roll from the FED! Cant believe it that a coin that is 31 years old is still in its original roll.

    tiag12 w/out the penny we'd all

It seems we are finding a lot more then we used to. I remember turning in rolled pennies in the 80's somewhere and even thoug thecount was right the weight was off, and they gave it back to me... I happen to be collecting and researching Canadian coins so I guess it's just a given; if I find something I am lookin for in tht series of coins I'm just that more better off.

    Thanks for your reply.

Due to all the snow around here last week, my half box order didn't get delivered, so I decided to do a nickel box last night. Here's what I got:

25 Buffalo !!! (can barely read the 25 of the date)
    39 Px3
    40 Px2, D
    41 P
    44 P SILVER !!!
    45 P SILVER !!!
    46 Px5, D, S
    47 Px5
    48 Px6
    49 P
    53 P
    54 Dx3, S
    56 P
    58 P
    59 P, D

And while returning the excess nickels to the coin counter this morning, I found 2 SILVER Roosevelts and a MERCURY DIME in the reject slot!

The Buffalo and War Nickels and Mercury Dime were all the first ones I've ever found. So the nickel box more than made up for no half box this weekend!

I had a box of cents broght back to me from the east coast a few month ago. I stopped searching it for a while because I was only finding about 1 copper every 4-5 rolls and nothing but zinc rot. Finally, I finshed the box today and found a 1998 Wide AM in the last roll!

    Coin Abuse!!

I found 15 wheat cents in my latest box. Dates are 1937 through 1957. Yawn....

What happened here? Someone scraped the date off a 200n cent--how did they do that--and why? A small JFK figure was punched or stamped onto the other cent.

Anyone ever see this sort of thing before?

I found a penny like that with the small Kennedy stamped into it. I forget the year, but I still have it. I don't know anything about it.
