When you dump the silver halves don't the people get annoyed?
I know at the penny arcade at TD bank the bags only hold $100
worth of halves which is nothing.

I bought a roll of Lincoln cents that showed a wheat back with a VDB on one end and a 1909-S on the other.

Well, guess what, it was a whole roll of 1909-S VDB cents. I'm rich!

    No, not really.

  8. I need to make a correction to my previous post. It wasn't the fourth and final 2009 P mint Lincoln I needed, it was the third one, which I already have an example of. Darn! I was so excited about finding the rotated die example I guess I forgot which 2009s I had!

I got another box of halves yesterday and finished searching it tonight.

    No silver, no keepers.

    Back at it tomorrow!

I found some 1959-D/D/D. But I have a old hoard of roll's that I look at from time to time. I know this bag kick's out this type. I bought this bag from my B/M and he gives me some very good rolls. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

I suspect many UNCs actually spent a little time circulating. They just got pulled before ANY evidence of circulation on the highest areas developed. This accounts for at least some of the minor bag marks and microscopic scratches which differentiate between MS60 through MS 70. Evidence of circulation doesn't always appear at first touch or use.

Not roll-search finds, but two I found in my cash register at work yesterday:

The scans don't do the 1965 justice - it's gorgeous. And the Walker has a surprising amount of luster. If it's been cleaned, it was done not-harshly, as there are no rub marks in the fields.

A walker in a cash register? Wow. That is quite a find, congrats.......and somewhere, some father is beating his son for pilfering his collection.

  21. Uncirculated is a somewhat misleading term. It does not mean that the coin did NOT circulate, it means that the coin shows no wear FROM circulating.
