Well, my mother-in-law drug out some more coins. Lucky me! :greedy: I have to make a bank run for more quarter boxes (and possibly halves) before we head back to Texas in a few days. So will check these out a bit later!

I see one possible silver Mexican Peso. The Greek coins are common. I do like those old coin wrappers. I saved a few for history.

Went through my box of halves and found a 1966, 1967, 3 well worn proofs, 11 NIFC's and my first 1974D DDO! :) 20191201_131954.jpg 20191201_131931.jpg

Good eye @nickelsorter2017! My in-laws traveled to Greece around 1970 (note the newest & shiniest coins are the 10 Leptas from 1969 which are aluminum) and brought back these Greek coins including the 1960 20 Drachmai which is 0.835 silver. The 1959 Mexican Peso is 0.100 silver, and the 1945-D Philippine/ US Administration 20 Centavos is 0.750 silver. The last coin is a very dark 1940 10 Reichspfennig made of zinc, which explains the corrosion. The obverse shows the German eagle standing on the swastika. This coin, the five 10 pfennig, and the 2 Philippine coins were likely brought back by my mother-in-law’s first husband Fred after WWII.

And the old rolls of cents were a mix of about 25% Wheaties and 75% LMCs. Nothing earth shattering, lol. The oldest was a worn 1924. There were interesting ones as well, including some San Francisco 1940 and 1950 decade coins. Some 1960 decade coins that might be upgrades in my albums, and some beautiful golden toners which will go in my US Toner album! I left the more common Wheaties and most of the LMCs with my mother-in-law to give away to someone else.

Quarter Box #4 & 5 gave up another Lowell W and 2 Arizona “Extra Cactus Leafs”. Had to stop by the LCS to get some more quarter tubes for all of the shiny specimens I am picking out. He gave me back a nice Denver River of No Return and a 1956-D Wheat in change. This after I asked about some Krugerrands, lol. Hoping to get another box or two before we head back home.

Grabbed $50 in MWR quarter rolls today - found my first proof quarter in the wild! 2004-S Wisconsin (clad). Pictured here with some of the lower-mintage finds in the lot. No silver, W's, foreigns or bicentennials this time.

Was dumping a quarter box today and asked if the teller had any halves. $5 between him and his co-worker. Scored a 1968-D. I can’t remember when I gotten silver from a teller tray.

Quarter Box #6 was a dud, although I’m still finding lots of 2019-D coins.
Box #7 was a good one:
    1946
    1959-D
    2 x 1964-D
SAM W - My first, found it in the last roll! Now all I need is the RONR W. Will try to get another box today before we head back to Texas.

I know the feeling of a long silver dry spell! Last local bank I received a loose 40%er from was robbed yesterday afternoon. It is in a shady part of town, which I think is why it occasionally produces a collectible (stolen coin?).

Went thru a box of quarters and found a lot of 2019D's and about 2 2019P's. Also found this coin. I think it is a Frank? But lets be Frank..... :) 20191205_132845.jpg 20191205_132903.jpg

That would be a Swiss 1 Franc coin minted in Bern with an exchange rate of about $1.00.
