    Searched some of my halves:
    $610 Partial Bag: 1 x 1964-D, 8 x 40%ers, 1 x 1974-D DDO, 1 x 1987-P, 1 x 1991-S.
    $43 Partial Bag: 2 x 1964-D, 7 x 40%ers.
    $120.50 Loose: 1 x 1974-D DDO.

    On to the MWRs next!

    Congrats!

Unfortunately for me, the $1,000 in halves I picked up from my order bank today were the dreaded MWRs in bags ($500 per bag), with no enders. These are typically the WORST for finding keepers...:vomit:

I haven't seen bank MWRs in a bag. Were they Loomis, Brinks, NF String?

They are rolled by a local coin vault (not Loomis) and delivered by Loomis...I believe they come from a local bank chain, which is my dump bank. Bad news for me given the lack of collectibles I have found (in reality, not found) in the past.

I look forward to your report on the MWRs you scrounged :)

Picked up some coin after I dumped last week's boxes.
$100 MWR quarters - Almost all AMPs. Was hoping for a W but no luck. Skunk
    $60 CWR dimes - 1964P Rosie
    $5 CWR cents - 3xwheats

What's everybody do with their 40%ers? I can almost get more for their numismatic value than I can get for silver content around here.

I sold $250 face for 4.5x a couple weeks ago.

Wow! Can't get more than 2 or 3 times around me.

Eff that man. Better to hold on to them at that point.

I have been ever since they were around 10x around 10 years ago. I didn't cash in then so anything under that seems unfair to me so probably will always have them. Sad too cause I've got around $350 face value.

Eh. At some point, you gotta figure you are still making more than face. But I wouldn't settle for 2-3x.

Nah I refuse to do that simply because I place more value on the time it took me to hunt them down. I'll just hang on to them.

Back when they were going for around 10x, my local coin shop hustler only paid $2 each for them. A guy brought a bunch in while I was there and I overheard how unhappy the guys was with his offer of same. I offered $3 for the lot and he gladly sold them to me. Coin shop scammer was pretty unhappy with me. Oh well.

Finally found my first war nickel! 1943 P. I know it’s not worth much, but I have been wanting one for a long time. I know I could buy one cheap. But I really wanted to find one in the wild! Mission accomplished!
