Stopped by 1 bank today. Asked for a box of quarters and cents. The teller was totally fine with it. Went to the back to get it and came back saying that she was told not to give me any. I know the guy who works back there is kind of a well...not nice words shall not be said on CT... She told me that he said "if you want bulk coin, order a week in advance." though that same branch will not let me order coin... I've had three other branches offer to order me coin this week so I guess I will be checking this branch off my list. I did manage to get $130 CWR from them before we left.
The CWR was odd since it was almost solid 2011D with one random 1967 40%er in there.
Eh. Off to scout camp next week so won't be searching.

Isn't TD still open on Sundays? (If they're in your area)

Agreed! They ended up paying me back a few hundred they owed me from the penny arcade class action fiasco. Quite honestly, I think it's only a matter of time before the same fate falls on DCU's doorsteps. I've had a few spirited debates with their tellers. One had the chutzpah to actually say "you're the only one that ever complai---has a problem with the coin machine." Thing is, I know I'm not alone.

I was behind 2 guys yesterday when I was dumping at my CU. Both had cups of coins and hand counted it before dumping because they swore up and down that the machines shorted them. These are the Cumins machines and they are beasts. I have never had one short me before. I'm not sure what TD was using. Their tellers are horrible too. I'm not sure which is worse, TD or Suntrust. I will never bank with either of them.

Pretty sure DCU has the same machines. They don't like halves. I always manage to get a few stuck but by the time they drop, the machine has already assumed I'm done and the receipt is printing. The tellers suck and never believe me.

3539FB7F-F6A3-4FC3-9C78-9CCE00CDB240.jpeg Bought a nickel box to go through. I guess someone dumped a wartime nickel collection because I found a record 10 in this box! Also 4 2009’s and a bunch of 1938-1959 (not pictured).

Same here and very reliable. Don't think I've ever had one break down on me! Plus, most of the employees changing the bags are very good "and" fast.

Last box of halves for the week, nearly skunked but sifted one 40%er. Missed picking up a box, hope they have it tomorrow.

Hunted a penny box today. A fair number of finds but no standouts.
Pulled 14 wheaties: 1941—1957-D. Notable coins: 1947-S with a gouge out of it, and a 1955 Philly but not the DDO. Got 9 Canadians (a high number for me) but no wow coins. Zero 2009s. Might try nickels tomorrow.

FA8F278A-D167-45B4-9E33-179895D245EC.jpeg Yesterday, I got a voicemail from one of my favorite tellers. She’s the one who last year sold me $340 in CWR halves which yielded 306 x 40%ers! And every now and then she will sell me a silver Kennedy. Of course I treat her (and her co/workers) with the occasional batch of the wife’s homemade cookies, lol. Today, she was holding 4 x 1964 Kennedys which a customer dropped off. Coincidentally, this broke a slow streak of 1 silver in the last 4 boxes for me, and it brought me to exactly 2,000 silver halves found since I started CRH 2-1/2 years ago. She got more cookies today!
