There was 1 silver ender and the English penny ender. I’ll take boxes like this anytime

:grumpy:The bank cut me off from half dollars again so I guess I'm back to working on these Albums. The regional manager said I will have to pay $7.50 per box and have a business account with them to order any. Sucks too because I'm about 75% through filling my folders with decent AU coins. Oh well, I'll just have to make some awesome quarter finds!

Hate to break it to you, but that's a dryer coin, not an error.

@SlipperySocks sorry to hear your bank cut you off. Perhaps another bank in town would order for you without a fee?

I paid a fee of $7.50/box on 4 boxes of halves one time about 5 years ago and found a barber half. It was the only silver coin in the boxes. I have done everything I can since then to avoid fees.

I’ve never found a silver quarter while CRHing. I imagine you’ll be buying silver quarters to fill the Dansco shown in your photo. I see you already have a couple really nice 30’s quarters in there, plus several really nice quarters in the plastic case, woohoo!

Maybe rather than getting boxes, you could just ask for customer wrapped rolls? You get your CRHing fix, without paying 7.5 dollars per box.

That seems steep... do u think they (rolling companies) charge the bank that much?

FWIW it was a Wells Fargo where I paid $7.50/box.

I got some pretty nice 50s wheats from the current box.
A few copper that will most likely be in best roll.
I got 6 rolls at our bank and 3 of them were Loomis rolls of complete 2018D. Tomorrow I sell this box and then will almost certainly get another box from People's Bank in our town.

Half dollar box 6 of 8 held 1 silver, and seasonally appropriate luck of the Irish  CE6D17D8-E092-44FD-AE88-23497FE11349.jpeg

Half dollar box 7 of 8 was the best yet. This box was odd because the tape on the outside of the box was on the side opposite the flap, so it was doing nothing toward holding the box closed. Also, 5 of the rolls inside were broken, and one of the broken rolls had been a silver ender. There were 2 other enders, 1 silver and 1 proof.

    The box yielded:

    9 proofs

3 worn gold plated, 1 polished, 1 commemorative, and 1 two-headed magician coin (not pictured). Also about a roll of NIFC including several 2018 and 2017. This box contained far fewer marked coins and coins with rolling machine damage than the other 6 boxes I’ve searched during my vacation.

This was one of the most interesting and productive boxes I have ever searched. I’m very happy with it!

    Happy hunting everyone!

What I'm finding with the new box is a fair amount of copper.
I put 44 zinc and 6 throw backs in each roll.
Through 5 rolls I'm using up my spare zinc to make rolls.

Very nice half dollar boxes, hope to pick one up tomorrow!

Here're a couple of neat pennies from yesterday's box. I traded a full box of 2019 and 2018 rolls for what appeared to be a box of one of my own dumps + about 8 interesting rolls netting 1937, 1939 and 1944 wheaties, plus a whole bunch of polished 60s coins. Looks like they got verdicare + a good scrub.

Whaddayouse think about the no date/no liberty 1994 D? Struck through grease? As the letters and date are visible under magnification... smooth and flat 1994 D.jpg 1994 D faint liberty and date.jpg no date no liberty penny.jpg 1994 D light date.jpg 1994 D reverse.jpg

This set of very copper colored coins with a gasoline sheen came out of just a few rolls. Bottom left you see same date, fiery, non cleaned coins.

    Got wood.

And finally, a little gunk that goes a long way. Now on to the error hunt.

The three penny rolls I did so far today didn't need a bunch of zinc fillers. Two more to go after Price is Right.

Half dollar box 8 of 8, sadly my last box during my east coast vacation, was pretty decent. No enders, so my expectations were low...

Oops, I forgot to add the ‘66 SMS I found in the last roll.

Overall great box as far as I’m concerned. I’m happy!

Given my total finds in these 8 boxes maybe living on the east coast would be fun

    Happy hunting everyone!

Are the 2010 2011 and 2012 national park quarters harder to find? Or is it just my luck?? Lol 20190226_024236_HDR.jpg
