btw, you can get tubes here
    https://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/products/coin-tubes/
for 19c to 28c each if you need more
I have a few for each denomination for the basic sorts that I roll and store. Keep the tube until I have a roll full. so I have a tube for wheet, IH, 1c proof, 1c whatever of interest, buff, V, war sliver, pre-60, and whatevers, sliver rosys, merc, ... and so on. I love it when one of those silver tubes needs rolling!!

I was so excited after last week when I found 2 90% and 4 40% in a box. It was my first box in years. I went and got another box today. As soon as I opened it I knew I was skunked. So many red, blue, green and black marker marks on so many coins. One had 2/19 written on the reverse. Looks like I just went through some fellow hunters dump box.

The square tubes do run higher -- currently 37 cents for small sizes, 50 cents for large dollar and ASE sizes. If you can get them locally for 50 cents, that's probably cheaper than ordering and getting them shipped, unless you're buying dozens.

Meanwhile I just plug away at pennies.
Found a 76 Canadian cent and a few more clean copper yesterday. I'll keep plugging away at it.

Found this 1970d LMC with a filled-in 9 on the date. Not sure how it got this way... Maybe from filled in Grease or a die chip perhaps..? Screenshot_20190222-094749_Gallery.jpg

$100 CWR Nickels: 24 average circulates date ranged from 1940-57 and a '35 buff

    $300 CWR Dimes: 5 Roosies - 48-S, 62-D (x2), 64, 64-D

    $70 CWR Halves: Skunk

$20 CWR Cents: 407 Wheats date ranged from 1914-1958, 99 of them before 1940. These were unmarked rolls from the same source as last week's "wheat" marked rolls. They also came with 700 copper cents, a '39 and '45 Canadian --- and 2 merc dimes.

I've got another 19 rolls from that pick up to look through, but it looks like the trail is drying up the deeper I go into the bucket. Still, it's been a great two weeks in cent hunting.

My sister works at the local grocery store and i have recruiter her to search tills for me (well... keep an eye out at least). She's been bringing home older style bills, nothing I've kept, but still definitely appreciate the effort.
Yesterday she brought home 5 dollars in halves, nothing i kept though.
As well as a 1979 proof quarter. Pretty cool for 25 cents!

Will be going over to Cold Spring for propane.
Think I will try that branch again.

I’m going on vacation next week out of my home state, so I called some banks at my destination to place an order for boxes of halves. First bank of a major nationwide chain said “No, none of our ‘stores’ in town will order half dollars”. I had ordered from this “store” while there about 3 years ago, but I realize policies change when management changes.

I wasn’t too optimistic about continuing to call other stores of this chain, but the friendly vault teller at the next store I called agreed to place an order for me despite the fact the boxes won’t fit in their vault. They’ll receive cookies when I pickup my order next week!

    HH everyone :)

Ducked into half a dozen banks yesterday, not a single half dollar to be had.

Almost didn't ask today at my home branch, that never has anything good.

"I've only got one 50 cent coin. You still want it?"

Two half dollar Loomis boxes were skunks. Then opened Box #3 and found a 1965 ender and thought yeah! Well, it was the only silver in the entire box. Finding a nice AU 1974-D DDO took some of the sting out, lol.
