15,000 coins is small change ;)
https://www.cointalk.com/threads/what-do-1-200-lbs-of-lincoln-cents-look-like.312101/ (this isn't even the half of it). Anyway, I admit that I didn't check for rotations, but I ran them through a Ryedale coin sorter and then pulled dates that have important varieties and sent the rest off into the world. Oh, I also pulled all S mint cents as well as wheats. All pulled coins get checked later.

Results from 4,000 nickels. Some of the 1936 am 1937 Buffalo nickels are AU/UNC. No 3-leggers.

Got what could have been a near perfect 1958 wheat but it had a pretty dented rim. Working on Comics online and then after two more CWR I get into the plain white MWR.

  8. Well considering it's in a thread about coin roll searchers. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say found in rolls from the bank.

Well, I don’t actually search boxes. My secret is that I don’t roll search in the US. I don’t know why, but I have much more luck roll searching overseas.

The "86 Nation of Imm Commemorative" is actually a 1986-S Statue of Liberty Commemorative half dollar, impaired proof.

Picked up 4 Loomis boxes of halves yesterday. Searched 2 today, both had silver, totals were:
    1 x 64
    1 x 65
    1 x 67
    1 x 68-D
    2 x 69-D
    1 x 74-D DDO
    1 x 2005-P NIFC
    ~200 x AU/BU 1993-D (I kept 24 very nice BUs)
Will do the other 2 boxes tomorrow. Keep stacking!

3 of 6 boxes of halves while on vacation yielded 1 NIFC...doesn’t bode well.

I seem to be going through a dry period CRH'ing cents and nickels. While not an outright drought, just not finding much to write home about.

Cent box #17 was OK. Only 6 wheaties from 40's and 50's but I did find a 53S and a 46S -- both first examples of that date/mint. So two more holes filled in my blue folder. Also came across a 1967 Canadian centennial cent -- the second of that date in the past few months.

Nickel box #20 was totally boring. Only 14 pre-60 nickels with the best being a 41S.

My cent "keeper" rate has dropped to 0.3% and my nickel "keeper" rate is holding steady at 1%.

No pics due to being at work.. Picked up a bag of cents from a local dealer and have been going through them over the last week or so. What ive found so far: 6 1960 sd, nearly a roll of unc 1954d, 1910 in vf30, and a 1970s sd in around ms63 or 64. Also a 1964d ddr, not too impressive ddr but mint state. Paid 30 dollar premium on the bag, so the 70s sd should put me about even. Just 20 dollars worth to go so hope there is something good left in there. Bag started with 104 dollars in pre 82 cents. Fun to go through.

Last 2 boxes = skunk, only 3 NIFCs. While I wait on a few ordered boxes of halves next week, am starting on a $2000 bag of small dollars hoping plug some holes in my Presidential album.

I had fun going through the small dollar bag today. Found some keepers and hole fillers. It was a mixed bag, among the notables were:
    2009-S Zachary Taylor impaired proof
    2009-S James Polk impaired proof
1981-S SBA NIFC (not the proof)
    2 x 2016-P Ronald Reagan
    2012-P Grover Cleveland
    2014-P Calvin Coolidge
    ~10 Sacagawea NIFCs
    ~30 AU/BU 2011-D Andrew Johnson (I kept 12 very nice BUs)

I may do this again very soon as I still have some holes to fill. ;)

Depends on the grocery store. Around here, the big chain is Publix. They offer all sorts of ancillary services such as check cashing, western union, etc... because that is what the customers need and it provides an extra amenity that keeps people coming back. I frequently see them giving out rolls of coins to customers, as if it were a normal part of their services. For instance, many people live in apartment buildings or condos, or they don't have washing machines in their homes. So they need quarters to do laundry. The grocery store has no problem providing rolls when people ask.

The small independent grocery store I work at ain't likely to have a lot of rolls extra. What's killing me is getting a most exceptional reverse with a stained or otherwise ugly obverse.
Getting a lot of very nice late 90s to late 2000s zincs.

Did you not look for MEL? Also, any idea how many Susan B's you came across in the bag?
