I was all set to sell my box Thursday. But when I asked her today she wants them tomorrow. Almost every roll was mostly a single year like 2008. But still managed to have nice enders and decent top and bottom of each stack of 10.

    Hope my luck improves tomorrow.

Holidays are coming up, we should (theoretically) have some better luck coming up.

Right? Right? Gosh I hope so lol.

Better times for CRH will come when the stock market drops and recession hits to cause layoffs. People will be dumping change currently accumulating in Mason Jars, Cookie Jars, Whiskey Bottles, and Coffee Cans.

Re-thinking my pox curse on NF String rolls. The yellow wrapped MWRs that come in the flat box with holes in the bottom so you can verify the box is full without opening it. Anyway, one of my banks orders these exclusively and I gave up buying them about a year ago due not finding any silver. Well, I bought one last week and it yielded (1) 40%er, (8) NIFCs (including a 1979-S proof), and (4) 1974-D DDO. So, I bought another box yesterday and it gave up (4) 40%ers including my first 1976-D sliver clad. Plan to buy more in the hope they will continue to produce. This could be s good thing since it is getting harder to buy boxes from my other banks.

When I travel I get these boxes at one of my destinations. I admit they are hit or miss. One of them produced 46 silvers for me, which is my best ever, so I will not complain about them. Locally, the similar Loomis boxes WITHOUT holes are almost devoid of silver...4 in the last 12 boxes for me.

Bottomline: CRHing is a game of chance.

Rats. Just got a box of pennies all customer wrapped in cointainer type wrappers. Could be good stuff. Could be more rolls of same year zinc. Will test 6 rolls today after I put two tarps up on the roof.

It seems like my favorite bank (the one that gave me 2 morgan dollars) is becoming a sour spot. Someone has been dumping A LOT there. I've been picking them up out of courtesy, but they seem to be doing a box a week, and dumping it there.

I want to keep the relationship, but i hate picking up the dumps.

I love to find the bicentennial's. I don't hunt halves much at all but when I find these I get a little excited!

@ace71499 I recommend you avoid this bank for a month or so and allow them to get annoyed with the dumper. They may ask him to buzz off, which would benefit you.

I must rake back something I said. The role weren't all cointainer type wrappers. The 6 I did yesterday where in tubes with both ends crimped over. All the rest are cointainer type.
Copper through 6 is a,little scarce and mostly non keep.

All I’ve done is sort and stack and pull out silver. What clad half dollars should I be looking for? Same question for clad quarters please!

I did get 129 silver halves from a yellow box once. The rest were all crap but it's still worth getting them.

Good news my second set of four boxes for this week is much better, only 2 skunked boxes, the other 2 boxes yielded 8 pieces of silver all 40%ers this time, 1-65, 1-66, 3-67, 2-68, 1-69, also one counter-stamped with a cross on Obverse and C one the Reverse, also pulled NIFC 5-14D's. Only need two to make my weekly goal, and I now only need 31 more pieces of silver to reach my yearly goal of 6000 pieces of silver since I started. Its looking good that I will reach it. I would have to have some real bad luck to get skunked the rest of the year.

I would like to take this moment to note that this is the 40,000th post in this thread. When this thread first started, I had only recently graduated from high school. It is wonderful that it continues on into the present day.
