I got a box with every roll in a Cointainer type open on the bottom roll. Found some pretty good copper and some not so good. Wish my eyes were better. No telling how many subtle double strikes etc. I've missed.

I did 17 more boxes of pennies and found only 3 common date wheats, and about 12% copper. Oldest wheat was a '37. I picked up $100 in "machine-wrapped, customer re-wrapped" rolls of half dollars. As I suspected nothing really interesting there. Only one NIFC

My first $50 in pennies, loose from the bank vault I just opened my account in. They just dumped them in a box.

I filled all the Philly and Denver holes in my album from 1959 to 2007, and prettied up what I already had. Filled all the 1982 varieties except the S mint mark. 11 wheaties, oldest was 1941. 1 oddly colored dime. Three S mints, 1971 and 1974. A little over six rolls of pre-82 and 82 copper.

I need to go through them again and try to identify any errors--I didn't see any and apparently they're pretty common.

Going early in the morning to pick up $600 in cents from a bank's coin machine. The man I'm getting them from has had them for over 5 years and hasn't had time to get around to searching them. Looking forward to seeing what is in them.

More going through my old "6" marked rolls and pulling out anything less than perfect. And in the current box is giving up some good and some not so good copper.

Finally found some halves to search. 10 dollars from a BoA near my lunch destination. No silver sadly, but some surprisingly nice and toned 1971 halves. Better than nothing!

Well, found another $120 of customer wrapped halves. Nothing in there but two NIFCs.

I do a little bit of Canadian from time to time and though the pictures are poorly lit/taken, I think this one makes a solid VF/XF coin. I've picked up quite a few pre 1965, but no varieties or errors found of yet.

Traveling through New Mexico Friday, called ahead to a Wells Fargo that had some halves. Ended up having exactly $500 of CWRs in brown generic wrappers. Suspected a CRH dump but bought them anyway. My suspicions were confirmed - skunk. Not even a single NIFC!

Good initiative, bummer that it was a skunk.

  18. since this is an old thread 2005 I guess there is no limit to the age of the search I last searched rolls in the early 1970s then a person could find numerous wheat cents and an occasional indian head

I might catch a cud error. I MIGHT catch a die break.
But double die and such I never look at every coin with a loupe.
Been getting nice copper and not so nice. What really kills me is a beautiful reverse with a bad obverse.
