Found this Kennedy 1971 Shiny, roll hunting a box of Half Dollars. What do you think? 20180830_140316.jpg 20180830_140409.jpg 20180830_140316.jpg 20180830_140409.jpg kennedy1.jpg

When I went to return the dimes I found a 1948 in the reject. No complaints

Finished my chores, so searched the second (which was also the last) box of halves for this week...Strange one:
    C7523D5E-A7B7-4A7D-A26C-CFC70B2CCEA8.jpeg
    1, ‘69D in AU condition.
4, ‘82P no FG in AU/BU condition (pictured)
About 50 common year coins in BU condition, mainly mid 80’s through early 90’s.
A handful of NIFCs, but none more recent than 2009.
    Very few marked coins.

I’m baffled about the 4 no FG coins in a single box...Never experienced this in 5 years of searching.

I always forget to check for the "no FG" varieties. How common are they?

I have found only 10 of the ‘82P no FG halves in 186,000 halves. 6 of mine are BU/MS, so worth a bit more than a lesser condition coin. I have not paid to have any of them graded, yet. For now they simply go into flips and are marked "to be graded".

Although the photos are washed out it looks like you found a decent grease-filled die error.

Never yet found a penny THAT off center.
Through a couple thousand at least.
    Probably many more than that.
A couple very decent copper came out of a roll today.

I have searched 2.4 million coins and have only pulled 13 82P NO FG. They are not easy to find, So you are doing much better than me for sure. Congrats!

I am back after two weeks off, Went to Michigan to visit family, checked out a couple banks for halves no luck, Got back on the 28th and just finished up the last 4 of 16 boxes for this short week, 13 skunks, still pulled some nice silver and 1-1900 British Penny and a 87D Kennedy, I also scored 1 GEM 62D Bennie, 3-64D's, 1-65, 2-66, 1-67, and 1-68. Not the greatest amount for 16 boxes but still a nice haul. Glad to be home and back to the grindstone. Hope you all have a wonderful 3 day weekend. Congrats to all the nice finds while I have been away, Love that 73 DDO. Now I have to try harder to find one of these. I bet I missed at least one. Wishing you all the best.

Arby, the 4 I found in the box this week were likely part of a collection deposit. The two in high MS condition I previously found (2 years ago) were definitely a collection deposit because they were in a single CWR with other collectible halves such as ‘87s.

    You’re right, I’ve been lucky!

I've dabbled in nickels and dimes while concentrating on pennies. No silver and I haven't seen any prominent errors.

Your dime has probably spent time in the dirt. That is nothing but environmental damage. Spender. Nice Buff though :)
