I Recently Got these from $100 of halves at my local bank. Went back to ask for more but the Teller said that a young woman came in and cashed these in and that's all that she had. The 1971 is UNC Condition, Is this coin worth Grading? Thank's IMG_20180720_190556.jpg

That is a pretty clean '71 but we cannot say if it is worth grading without a lot of good pictures. Look at the TPG charts and study grades to determine if you feel it's worth sending in or not. Compare it with pictures on their sites and I wouldn't bother unless it is absolutely perfect. In the meantime put it in a holder so it does not get scratched!

1 box of halves resulted in 1 dirty old man (Franklin), 1 stickered, and on AU bicentennial. I’ll take them! CD421B97-6A68-4C01-BFEB-5E346617DA3F.jpeg

I like when members show their wheaties. Not really big on finding kennedy halves. I understand. But looking at ends of coins isn't my idea of roll hunting. Please don't be mad. Maybe it's because i can afford a box of halves.

I’m not mad, but I’ll point out when I search halves I’m looking for silver, proofs, errors and MS coins, so I check both sides of every coin. I’m a collector, not a silver snob.

1 more box of halves this morning yielded much better than normal:
    1, Franklin
    2, ‘64 JFK’s
    6, 40% JFK’s
    1, ‘87D
    3 impaired proofs
    I’m thrilled!

No more pink fingernail polish also made me very happy:)

I am the same way. I always try to look at every coin, and am familiar with some DDO/DDRs (amongst other common errors).

Now, have i found any, no. Will it stop me, no.

Been pretty dry for me. $50 in dimes yielded one silver coin which was cool!

Yup got albums to fill and errors to find. I rotate every coin, check the FG and determine if it is an error year or not. Then it either goes into the discard bin to roll back up or an assigned spot for that year to look at it under the scope for a known error that I am interested in.

All six came out of the same box. The extra piece of metal poked holes in the wrappers so they were easy to spot.

Everybody's finds are making me so jealous. I tried several banks today but nobody would hook me up with boxes. I think I am completely screwed. I posted a separate thread yesterday but I guess I can put it here too...found a 1960P Small Date LMC from a bunch of coins my parents brought from Nebraska a few weeks ago. Only my 2nd 60P SD in ~$15k of cents searched.

25 in cents, 100 in nickels, and 250 in dimes yielded a few foreign coins, a casino token, a few wheats, some pre 1960 nickels I will keep and zero interesting dimes.

I am going to turn them in and pick up a box of halves next week.

Ouch, I’m sorry to hear it! Did you shop around for other banks/cu’s?

Even in my small town I’ve a plan B.

I assume your small town has a coin sorter machine as well as it looks like you go through a large volume each week. If you dont have access to one, do you roll and have dump bank(s)? Do they give you a hard time?

Tough break FF! I'm not cut off from half dollar supply, although I'm having to rely on box orders as opposed to just stopping by and getting them spur of the moment. However, my schedule is going to interrupt my CRH for a few weeks which will be a welcome break! Just not finding any silver doing boxes. Had a great teller score earlier this week on loose halves but it's getting harder and harder to get halves and large dollars. We'll see how I feel after this break. I'm seriously thinking about rolling back or even stopping for awhile.
