I got a new sealed "Fed" box. Unmarked machine rolled.
First 5 rolls gave up 4 wheats. An extremely worn 1919 oldest and dirty 53d newest.

Congrats to ya but 14 grand for searching purposes? I'd take that 14 g and buy physical silver. Quick easy money to be made cause silver ain't goin' too much lower before it takes off. 5% up and a quick $700. Relatively safe bet imo. Congrats also on the patience of going through 14 g's worth of half dollars. Was that all one order?

My next set of four boxes today were all skunks, though I did find a 66 Kennedy when I dumped that I missed, the other surprise was a 1961 Silver Dime in the coin return before I started my dump today. Hopefully I will get a few more pieces of silver tomorrow. Thanks for all your support and well wishes. All you guys/gals Rock....[IMG][IMG][IMG]

I’m not out $14k, nor did I drop $14K at one pop. Over the span of three days. Even if I did pick up at one location(by the way through an error on PNCs part I did pick up 18 boxes from one location two weeks ago resulting in close to 500 silver half’s)

    Think shampoo instructions.
Pull $3000 from savings at CU, pick up 6 boxes at other bank. Search, use free coin star at CU, deposit $3000 minus finds, repeat.
This was five orders at three different PNC branches. Been my method for four years.

Plus if I used the $$$ to but physical I would not have the funds to find physical at face value.

Try my method face value silver averages 600%+ return. Safer bet on face value finds. $45 in face is $268 in silver.

Picked up my 500 Ikes today. Head teller said if the other customer she called about the Ikes doesn’t pick up the remaining 500 soon, then she’ll call me and I’ll get them. I told her I’m ready to pick them up anytime.

She showed me a couple stickered ones she noticed as she rolled them. I asked if she noticed any other odd ones and she said she didn’t, but she was in a hurry when she counted them.

I’ll try and give the 500 coins a quick look later tonight. 17A4B21B-4E84-409F-98F0-0A8CBBFB7791.jpeg

E2B6D9CB-A41A-4EBA-9646-56DA302D4787.jpeg Ike report after a really quick edge check:

    No silver
    No obvious proofs
    2 gold plated
    About 12 stickered
    A handful of near MS

I’ll eventually get around to searching for varieties or errors, but I may also skip this and sell them locally or online for a small profit.

I hope to get my grubby mitts on the remaining 500...

    HH everyone

Things continue to improve, my last four boxes for this week yielded 14 pieces of silver, with 5 enders, one I missed before I opened it. I scored 3 64's which two are D's. I also pulled 5-67, 2-68, and 4-69's. This is a wonderful way to end my scheduled search week. Wishing Everyone the best, may you all score lots of silver or what ever else you may be looking for. I am still skunked on 2018 hope to see a few before the end of the year. Have a wonderful weekend everyone, and keep stacking!! [IMG][IMG][IMG]

I know I'm replying to an old comment here, but I have to because I have had the exact same experience with the half dollar. Years ago at a grocery store I gave the cashier exact change for my groceries which included a half dollar coin. She looked at the change, and then walked away from her register without saying a word to me. She walked a couple registers over where the manager was standing and I could hear her ask him with the coin in hand "Do we take these?" The manager looked at her, then looked up at me, and all I could do was smile and shake my head in disbelief. Of course he said "yes we do" and she came back and finished the transaction. I still tell the story years later because it amused me so much.

    I have had similar experiences.:)
It would seem that some, especially in the younger generation, are not use to even seeing half dollars. I have given a half dollar to a cashier, and I told them that it was a half dollar, and they still ask another worker what it is.
    Thanks for sharing your experience.

I took off from work early after chatting with a fellow treasure hunter friend of mine. Of course, we got each other excited to get out and find some treasure!

4 banks yielded $300 MWR halves, $140 CWR (CWR rewraps, smells like a dump) halves, $1 loose halves, and 10 Ikes.

I’ll report any finds later :)

The coin machine was being emptied by a coin courier at one of the banks. All the coins in this style machine go into a big bin, are removed while still in the bin, transported to the coin courier building, separated into bags, then run through a coin rolling machine. How do I know? The armed guy emptying the machine told me. He also said the machines are routinely emptied every 3 weeks, and the east side of my town produces alot more coin than any other area. He said this was because east is less affluent...I’m putting this tip in my mental database :) View attachment 801775

Edit: decided to try a couple more banks...$78 in CWR and loose halves at bank 1...on to bank 2 now...bank 2 had 1 CWR halves and $1 loose halves...’54 Franklin in the loose!

The Franklin made it all worthwhile to me 9A039B48-544A-41D5-A9D1-F5ABCC881BAE.jpeg

20180720_214426.jpg $156.00 in BWR Nickels today. Not sure what is interesting and what isn't so let us know if this is TMI. For the time being we are hanging onto '70 and older Nickels.

6681FCBD-9E25-4A40-BFA8-D7813A917120.jpeg ‘54D Franklin in the loose halves was the only silver.

Rewrapped MWRs were a bust (no surprise), but the other CWRs held NIFCs including 4, ‘87Ds!

I’m thrilled with the ‘87Ds. They’re in MS condition as are many of the other NIFCs.

I actually kept 4 coins for an album I’m putting together, which is remarkable.

The MWRs held only a couple NIFC including 2, 2017D’s and 1, ‘87p. The total of 5, ‘87 coins in today’s batch blows my average ‘87 finds out of the water. Previously, I had found only a dozen or so ‘87 coins after searching about 200,000 halves!

My time off work was well spent toward my coin hobby :)

    HH all

I enjoyed the scans. You won't get much interest in non-silver Jefferson nickels on the board. These guys want to see the silver. Your finds are similar to my average the last 1 1/2 years. 5 pre-1960s for every $20 - about 8 times for you = about 40 predicted. You got 37/38. 1964s run about 1.3 per roll - about 78 rolls = 104 predicted, you only got 73. The 1955p was a find, not many of them show up. The 1951p was good also. If you keep at it, you will notice that you can find nice undamaged xf/au partially lustrous (or better coins) for all the 1960 - 1970 nickels. No need to keep the rest. Jump for joy if you find the 50d or the 38s. I still haven't found them in the last 1 1/2 years.
