Got 70 Dollars in Bicentennial halves in old wrappers (looks like they've been saved since 1976). Anything I should look for?

1 box of halves and 2 boxes of dimes. No more boxes of halves for me. At least arround here, they are awful.

Just got back from the bank with my next boxes of cents and nickels in hand. Opened up the nickel box and it is a solid box of nice, shiny, 2018D's. In the past when this has happened with cents, I've just dumped them into my deposit bag and moved on. But this time, I'm actually going to take my time and check them all. I'm not familiar with any '18 varieties but I figure this would be my best shot of actually finding blank planchets.

I Got 10 more rolls from our bank. 8 Loomis which are all 2017 or 8. And two CWR. I'll certainly check the 2017 or 18 rolls pretty carefully. I am being very critical on my copper.
Any spot, blemish or discoloration and it's going bye bye.
Makes it pretty easy on copper keeps too.

I narrowly avoided a skunk today on an opened Loomis box of halves that someone bought 1 roll out of: (5) NIFCs, (1) 1974-D DDO, & (1) 1967.

I went through the $1000 in MWR halves from my bad source. As I expected I found nothing.

2 of the MWRs were solid bicentennial (sometimes happens by chance), and 1 MWR was solid 1977D all facing the same direction. I believe someone at the coin rolling company was organizing/sorting because this would not have happened by chance!

    Oh well, search, dump, repeat.

Loomis box of halves today was a silver skunk, only found 4 NIFCs.

I just looked through 100$ in nickels and no war nickels but we did find a 2007 rotated and a bunch of old nickels 40s-69s and a couple of 69 's'

I did a rough count and got about 1,300 wheat cents from those two batches (I measured a similar amount of regular cents and then put them through a coin counter).

I'm jealous of your score. I've searched well over 100 thousand cents and I don't even have 1000 wheat cents!

I will take better pictures and share in a what’s it worth thread. I’m pretty sure I found a 1973 capped die cent yesterday. Very nice condition (see reverse steps). The reverse rotation shown is accurate. Multiple photos, same coin.

Thanks guys. I’m in a very unique situation and am trying to take advantage of it. I never imagined I’d find 1,300 or so in searching just 6,000 cents. I would never have imagined that to be possible and certainly don’t expect that to happen in the future.

No wheats after 40 rolls in the current box.
Have decided that there will be no 5 level pennies when its all said and done.6 or back to the wild.
