Alright guys you gotta send me some luck ok. I need some silver :)!

Actually my coworker was nice enough to let me look through her change that she gathers monthly for me. It produced a 1920 wheat... not silver but almost 100 years old.

I keep wanting to order a box a halves but something is stopping me, I don't know why.

Visiting the wife’s family in SoCal. Bought $120 CWR halves. First roll I opened was solid 2009-D NIFC in AU and Unc condition. Was thinking I got somebody’s dumped collection including their silver stash.:D Actually found equivalent rolls of 2009-D, 2005-P, & 2005-D. Also a nice 2010-P. These will likely replace a few coins in my duplicate sets. Also, an impaired 1977-S proof. Unfortunately, no silver. :yack::rage::mad: 2D6931BB-50C8-4EDD-BD76-7166FD170482.jpeg

Last 4 boxes of the week turn up nada! All four were skunks. Interesting that I order boxes of halfs from a Suntrust I have an account with. It's been a while, they use to be supplied by Brinks now it's Loomis. So the sampling of Brinks halfs will need to wait until Monday when I can order from a BBT near my office.

Happy Mothers Day to all Moms on the thread! Until next week.....happy hunting!

This is why I'm always excited to get CWR...although this is an INSANE score.

Thanks to all who congratulated me. That was my top find ever...it smashed the next best which was 3 full rolls of 40%. When I opened the first roll I almost fell out of my chair. That one will be hard to top. Wish you all the best of luck in our shared (semi) vocation. HH

They still exist here in Middle Tennessee and I've also seen them down in parts of MS and AL.

My short-lived silver-drought came to an end today with my latest box of halves (just barely). Found a lone, single 67! Woo-hoo. :) Also found a half-dozen NIFCs. I'm starting to collect so many multiples of some NIFC-dates that I'm going to have to start throwing some of them back.

It's lovely to think of boxes of halves. But pennies is as good as it gets around where I live. Y'all are gonna give me he$$ but I use a soft clean towel and rub my keeps against it. I have double stacks of close to 100 copper out of 10 rolls.
I estimate 1/3 to maybe 3/5 of them will be keepable.
The first thing I do if they are ugly is try a thumb rub. If that does any good it goes on the stack. If not back to the wild piles.

Btw. Question. Has anyone here ever found a Barber when hunting halves. Or know of anyone who has? That is the only half rule of the 20th century I haven’t come across in the wild yet

My bank teller found a 18XX barber dime. Showed it to me, but didn't sell it to me. Understandable. She sold me two Morgans though, so can I really complain. The barber wasn't in the best shape, but for over 100 years old, who can complain.
