Erin...the 1970 is a good find! Those are hard to come by. If you look in the Redbook, they are actually more valuable than the 90% 1964.

Searched another box of halves today.....no silver. That's 1 40%er in my last 6 boxes..... :(

I did find one 1977s proof, very circulated.

Agreed, I wouldn't mind finding one of those myself. But for sure, it can be a little disheartening to go through a entire box without finding much. Found a BU clipped planchet half last weekend and I think that was about all I kept from the box. The rest of the coins were all pretty beat up, no silver, but the error coin was still a neat find.

I got another box today.....and had another shutout. No silver, no keepers.

    :(

But, I'm going to the big Money Show tomorrow in Houston. :)

    Bob,
Do do you dump off at the same place where you get your halves? or another bank. I got halves from 2 different banks and noticed they come from 2 different companies, so I'm going to get more from one bank and dump at the other bank. The banks I deal with just unroll them and send them back to the supplier weekly. Hopefully, I won't be going back through my previous searches this way.

I get halves from 3 different banks regularly, and dump them all at a fourth bank. 2 of the banks use Brinks, and One uses Street and Sons.

Have had marvelous luck for several months, but the silver has seemed to dry up in our area as of late.

    6 Boxes

Just finished 6 boxes of halves .. Here is what I found.

    First Five Boxes
    1964 - 4
    1965 - 1
    1967 - 10
    1968 - 7
    1969 - 1
    1986 no FG - 2
    1973S -1
    1991P Gold Plated

Then I got to the last box .. and this is what I found ( in one box )

    1964 - 12
    1965 - 6
    1966 - 1
    1967 - 6
    1968 - 6
    1969 - 6

guess someone traded in a collection on the last box. One of the 1964's is in uncirculated condition. ;) Jeff
