Went back through my bags of halves for the week since my cents are all 17P. Decided to look for 72D no FGs and 74D DDOs. Didn't find any but I did pull out 3 proofs that I missed the first go through and also another stickered coin.

It's so funny that recently a bunch of these stickered halves are coming about. I found my first one recently, with a steelers sticker on it!

1938-d 1-12-18.jpg This is what greeted me as I was drinking my coffee this morning going through $50 of S&S MWR rolls... my first key date Jefferson of 2018, and what a beauty!

That's a nice haul...I have just progressed to buying boxes from my bank... went in and talked to another bank in town, told them what I want to do so I opened a small saving acct with them so I can order boxes from them and my regular bank to avoid any fees

I do the same at my bank, I don't have to worry about getting coins I have already searched thru because the coin counter bags up the coins which are weighed at the bank and sent back to the Federal Reserve to be re-rolled and sent back to banks that order them.

Just finished my first box of 2018 -- $100 box of nickels and it didn't disappoint!

    First, the common stuff, working backwards: 58d, 57 x2, 57d x2, 56, 54s, 52d, 48d, 48 x3, 47, 40, and 39.

    A single war-silver dated 43P.

A 1920 buffalo -- full date. Grades VG. Granted, this is the third highest mintage of Buff's so if you're gonna find one, odds are that it will be this one. But still a fun find!

Three foreign coins: a 2008 Panama 5 Centesimos, a 1971 Swiss 20 Rappen, and a 2008 Swiss 20 Rappen. Interesting to find two of the same country/coin in a single box.

Finally, found four beautiful Uncs or high-end AU's: a 55d, 64d, 72, and a stunning 2000d that looks like it came out of a mint set -- it would qualify for 6FS if it wasn't for a few contact nicks.

All-in-all, a pleasant and encouraging start to the new year!

Had a voicemail from my main bank when I got out from work. They had someone who came in with a bunch of big dollars and they were mine if I wanted them. Morgans and Peace dollars flashed in my eyes so of course I went and got them.

$400 in Ikes....lol. Not even sure where to start.

Search all 72 Phillies for the Type 2 variety. Research that online if you don’t know what I am talking about.

I've divvied them out in to years. More than half are 76 and another large percentage are 72. There is also a lone 73 that doesn't have a slot in my Whitman folder.

73 only released in mint sets. None for circulation.

That Whitman folder sucks then. It has slots for the proofs but not the 73P or D. Annoying.

There were about $80 in 1972P Ikes. One of the last ones I looked at was a Type 2 :) Thanks @Bman33 for the reminder!

If that’s the real deal it’s worth some dough.

Thanks. I was just happy to have 3 hole fillers for my album. I know very little about Ikes or values of varieties. I looked at the pcgs photograde online and am thinking that this is maybe ms61or 62? It has some dings on the obverse but is pretty clean I think.

Nice find! That is the Type 2 reverse. I found 1 too a couple of weeks ago but not as nice as that one. Congrats!

the coin in the first post doesn't grade 65, in fact may not even grade MS.
