Meanwhile I plug along with pennies.
57P and 58P seem to be a bit scarce.
    But I keep on trying.

I confirmed that my first box was indeed ordered. I'll be picking that up Friday. Hope it goes well

Huh. I missed a call from our bank.
No more exchange my rolls for "new" ones.
    Kind of a downer.
Not at the main location in Livingston either.
I guess I'm done looking at pennies after 35 more rolls.

David, it’s best to buy coins from one bank and deposit them at another that offers several branches so you can spread out your coin deposits.

Make this “change” (pardon the pun) and your search can continue.

In just under 4 years, I pulled 1175 90%ers, 3826 40%ers, 10 Commemoratives, Non silver, 25 Magic Coins, 111 74D DDO, 379 Proofs, 13 of the proofs silver, 1877 NIFC, 1-71D on Quarter Stock, 1-Clam shell Lamination Error and a stack of foreign coins. Not too bad for a hobby. I have searched $1,029,040 Dollars worth of Halves.

Just finished 4 boxes today, once again no skunks, they yielded 8 more pieces of silver, all 40%ers, 1-66,2-67, 2-68 and 3-69. Also 1-72S Clad Proof. Wish everyone the best. Oct 25 17 Finds-ccfopt.jpg

I'm getting a lot of "We don't have any halves or large dollars" from my tellers lately. Even full unopened boxes of halves are harder to come by. Hoping this dead period of CWRs and teller tray coins ends soon. I've only been doing this since Jan-2017. To you more experienced CRH folks, does it pickup during/after the holidays?

I've heard that it picks up before Christmas because people are trying to cash in for gifts and stuff.

But that's usually when I slow down because it's cold and unmotivating outside... this season however, will be the first time I will have a car, so maybe I'll be more motivated. I haven't found silver in a while and I'm itching for it!

Thanks for the reply Arby, and congrats on an incredible accumulation of silver! You obviously aren't just checking rims since you have found so many 1974-D DDO. Keep it going!

Should pick up for the Holidays! People need cash for presents so those Halves will be turned in.

Love your suggestions. But close to me are only two banks.
And one of them is stand alone, the other with the main branch approximately 18 miles from home. I can't drive too far due to fuel costs. I'll deal with the other bank until they shut me off.

I find that it picks up with teller trays during the run up to the holidays. It tends to get better a few months after in the MWR stuff. Takes time to make it through the system I guess.

I finished the last of 4 boxes of cents for the week.
This box was about 90% 17Ps. But then this popped out of a roll:

Got a partial ($390) Loomis box of halves yesterday. Was excited to see an obverse Wender and a reverse Ender or Kender (right above the Wender in the picture). Will finish the box I'm on and dig into this one soon!

Awesome! I have gotten two WLH Obverse Enders. They were the same night in two different boxes. I only have two boxes to open this week and that will be tonight. Hope It Rains Silver!

I see two enders in the box?

Looking forward to seeing what you get. I've only had 1 Wender and it was a reverse. That was a fun box. :)
