For perspective, I've picked up roughly 1,000 loose large dollar coins in the last 4 years from many different banks in my town. Last week I found my first 40% ike, and today the peace dollar. Peristence pays off, and when it rains it pours!

bhh, not only did the teller sell me a peace dollar for face value, but she was polite, friendly, and attractive...quadruple win for me

    HH everyone

Hello everyone, I have been CRH Since Nov 2013, Had awesome luck my first couple of years. Finding less silver every year. This week I just went over 2,000,000 half dollars searched, with 4,893 pieces of silver found to date. I have be blogging on CCF and was looking for another site to see if anyone has seen any major lamination errors on 1968 Kennedy's. I have one and was trying to find more information on it. Its nice to see others that are successful CRH halves. How do I start a new post? Can anyone help?

The cutest teller I ever came across when I asked for half dollars: "I don't have any of those, but I have a silver quarter if you'd like it!"

Unfortunately she stopped working at that bank (or branch, anyway) about a week later.

Made the rounds to my local banks yesterday for halves. A variety of formats - bag, teller tray, MWR, box). Best luck came from two different banks, 10 MWRs each. The 68-D is badly tarnished, but the 78-S is the nicest proof I've ever found CRH. Still have the box to search.... P1010890.JPG

I have 3 nickel rolls and 30 penny rolls to look through.
    Nothing spectacular has showed up.
But now I'm only keeping good looking copper.
The ugly ones go back into the pond.

I come across a fair number of good looking (to me) toners when searching nickels. I've been throwing them all back but I bought a book yesterday to start keeping and displaying the best of them. I know I know they are only worth five cents but I like them.

I too am saving toners and plan to build a Dansco album of toners of different denominations.

I had other things to do. Just started with a nickel roll.
Got a better but by no means perfect 2008P from it.
I don't see many toned nickels. I save great examples unless and until I have two good ones.

Forgot to mention, earlier this week I got another $100 in dimes and didn't find anything except a 2014-P with some cuds on his head, brow, nose and chin, as well as some more on the reverse on the right branch, some small ones on leaves on the left branch, and a die crack running from the right branch through the final A in America.

Later in the day I got a handful of change out of a Coinstar return slot, including two silver Rosies (57-D and 58-D) and some foreign coins: a few British, one Bermudan, one Mexican, and one Norwegian.

Errr, should be die breaks instead of cuds. Whoops.

6 boxes of halves this week were all re-wraps. Also was shorted at least $2. Oh well. That's the game we play. :(

Got a lot done today. Called at least 10 banks trying to find one that would be able to order eisenhower dollars for me, no luck. I did go to Wells Fargo and they had 75 worth. Nothing considerable within them though. Also 9.5 dollars in halves, also nothing.

I did 370 dollars in halves recently. From a chase far away from my house. They said a guy ordered it but couldn't pay for the whole thing. There was a surprisingly high amount of NIFC. Around half a roll. I usually keep them, because why not. I might make an album for them. I have the one for 1964-2001, almost filled. Missing the 2 87s and the 70.
