On another note. I asked if the store ever gets halves or Dollar coins. She said yes from time to time.
I asked to be notified as I collect those.
    She said yes.
Back to looking at coins in a while.

I only searched two nickel rolls yesterday...only keepers were the ugliest 2002 proof ever created with more scratches than a soup sandwich and a 39 not a d or s.

Hey guys I need your help! I pulled this flawless gem out of roll of cents today...I need help with the grading before I submit it for grading Would this be a MS 68 red or MS 69 red. I'm leaning 69+, but I thought I would get some feedback. Thanks a lot. Also, what do you think in term of value...I'm thinking $71,000. I know that is a bit conservative, but I don't want to get my hopes up.

I have done some mathematical calculations using numbers and can now report to all my friends at coin talk that there are more 1964 nickels in existence than all coins of all denominations of every series of coin ever made from all nations both modern and ancient. Some 12,000 more in fact. I know, I know, random information...you know just in case you're ever on Jeopardy or something.

sometimes when I read this thread it makes me believe that I'm really posting on face book.
$40 nicklels. 41,47,49d,52,53d x2,54s x2,58d x2... and only 24 1964 nickels. I scanned 4 of them, the best one might be a circulated choice gem MS66 with shiny date - only one reported in slabbed population by National Slabbing Service, Inc. estimated value at auction $92,755. Plus tax.

I did find a 1943 S nickel too. First war nickel in about the last $500 of searching.

    2 different banks tonight had:

$40 in MWR halves, which yielded:

1, bicentennial reverse cud at about 2 o'clock (my first half dollar with a cud out of ~100K coins searched!)

    And
    1, 1974D DDO (my third).

$20 in CWR halves yielded zilch.

Here's a 64 nickel I was actually thrilled to find back when I was CRHing, first to guess why gets a cookie.
(Just to clarify, I'm not really gonna send a cookie, so you get nothing. But, you can use your knowledge as bragging rights if you'd like :p)

Correct you are, I thought it a cool find nonetheless. Earliest proof I've ever pulled from the wild. The impairments aren't too bad compared to some I have found.

I saw something that you could have knocked me over with a feather. I went to the second bank after work. Traded a dime roll for $5 in pennies. Went to our bank and got all Loomis 5 nickel and 30 penny rolls. But the knock me over part was a guy with a majorly bug splatted Ford F150 Crew was taking quarter boxes and maybe some other out of his back door.
I would have thought an armored car would have brought them. But now at least I know what a box of quarters looks like.
And I have a major league bunch of pennies.

Slim finds this week out of 12 boxes. But a 1970D was the nice find in a roll search.
    11-40% JFKs
    2- 1964 JFKs
1- 1943 Walker polished and gold plated:bored: still silver though, not even a nice Walker at that.
    1-2002S Clad proof
    1-2000S Clad proof
1-1973D plated:bored: throwing it back into the stream.

About 2.60 ounces, well below average for 12 boxes. Half were skunks, and all boxes were tagged 6206 which is not my Loomis location. So I guess I'm pulling inventory from an adjacent Loomis sorting facility.

There is no error. The only error is thinking it is an error!
