I have a dump CU that has multpile branches near me with free coin machines. I have a whopping $20 in accounts there lol. I will take $1600 (1500 halves and 100 nickels) with me tomorrow and dump it after work. Then take the other 1600 and dump at another branch on Saturday. All the branch workers know me and are surprisingly not upset to see me coming. I bring candy and donuts on occasion to help out :)

Haha sounds like my dump account...although I think I only have 16 dollars there now and need to deposit a dollar to keep my acct free before the end of the month. I love the look on the tellers faces when they see what's in the account and how much I'm cashing in.

    2 banks tonight yielded $11 loose halves...all Cu-Ni clad.

I admit I'm getting discouraged by my lack of finds :grumpy:

New 2017 P Roll. Thought the reverse may be an abraded proof die so I looked at the mint mark to see (highly unlikely both dies) and found this. Any ideas on either
side. The reverse areas in question are highly polished but show what looks like abrasion marks. This is my first post mainly because of the way many of you treat
rookies. Oh yes, there were eight of these in the roll.

Went through five bricks (250 rolls) of random nickels. Found three war-nickels, and two no-date buffaloes. Lots of them (probably 100) had some weird black gummy stuff on them. Pulled them out to keep them from (literally) gumming up my feed mechanism. The rest got run through our vintage Ferracute press (originally made silver quarters in the 1930s at the Denver Mint) and counterstamped. See thread:

maybe I'll take this opportunity to organize my coins

I understand it's possible to get to our little town.
Going to take my rolls as well as the trash tomorrow.

Sweet deal! That 70S is just icing on the cake. I'm sure a CT member has posted one at some point, but in over a year of watching this thread that's the first one I've seen pulled from the wild.

    Finished 2 boxes of cents.
    Box 1 - Nothing interesting besides a 50P
    Box 2 - 1 war (42P), 1 Dateless Buff, a Bermuda and a Bahamas 5c.

Still waiting to find a war-cent. Wonder how that Bermuda 5c fit in the cent roll? :)

So I found this cent in circulation. I don't know if this is a legit error or not. It looks like the sheet of copper this planchet was cut from may have had a low spot. the date is not on it and you can catch just a hint of the mint mark and even the leading edge of lincoln's face looks weak on the strike. The rim looks ok.

Looks like a strike through error to me. As you noted, the rim looks ok.

Who would be the group to send this to have it authenticated. Would it just be a coin to send in to PCGS/NGC to have them grade it out as an error?

I found this gem about a month ago in the change drawer at work. Could not believe the condition. I've never seen a steelie so good in person.

Three skunk half dollar boxes for me. Things are drying up at some branches. I'm going to have to change it up a little.

Bought a roll of pre 64 quarters from the coin vault, advertised as BU. Total trash, no better than GOOD. No longer do business with these scam artist.

Even though still raining I went to town.
Second bank for nickels and dimes.
    Main bank for pennies.
No new dollars or halves to see.

First nickel roll down... nothing came from it.
Nothing better than what I had or good enough to keep.

5 nickel rolls and 4 dime rolls gave a marginally better 1975P nickel and a filler 1961P dime. The Library opens Friday.
So I won't even start pennies until tomorrow.
